Some cards simply do not have flavor text from one set to another. Compare M10 Lightning bolt to M11. For whatever reason, Wizards did not print flavor text for those cards.

Some people do operate in that manner. But the internet is full of shady people, and sometimes it's just not worth the risk that your trading partner is totally honest. Plus, people hear horror stories about sending to places like Italy/Spain/Brazil where packages are likely going to be ripped open by the delivery person and anything of value will be stolen. I realize that's an exaggeration and most likely based on a few crazy cases, but it's gained enough traction in the US at this point that I think it's a legitimate factor. I think many high volume sellers on ebay have had their own share of problems with certain countries, which is why many of them will not send to certain countries. The potential loss is just not worth the risk when chances are you can find a buyer where a more secure and affordable delivery option is available. __________________ Wisconsin - smells like dairy air!I collect Granite Gargoyles. Packages get lost more often during international shipping and people may simply want to avoid these costs. For some people, the $30 they might lose and the hassle of dealing with an unhappy trader may simply not be worthwhile. Of course, there's also the issue, as others have stated, that people can simply claim not to have received, and because you didn't send with tracking, you cannot prove that they received and would be forced to refund them. I've seen international traders with plenty of refs BTA multiple people in the span of several months for not having received; maybe they really didn't, but it signals something wrong even if they're being perfectly honest about it. I haven't done any sort of detailed analysis of this, but I would imagine if you looked through the BTA forums, a majority of the cases that deal with claims of lost packages are likely from international trades. quote: Originally posted by Pippincro: This is understandable, but still doesn't feel ok to group all the people in same bowl. It's easier just not to deal internationally. The possibility of being reverse-ripped is not the only factor; there are other ways in which it's easier to deal within the US, such as the ability to use PayPal Multiorder Shipping or printing labels through the USPS website. You cannot do this for first-class international mail; the service is only offered for Priority or Express. Which means you have to write out the addresses on the envelopes, fill out customs forms, take it to the post office to send, etc. Personally, most of the people that I deal with here and on eBay ARE international ones, and I've shipped tons of packages to Italy, Spain and Brazil without problems. I've had one person from Brazil claim not to have received via eBay, but after one or two months he stopped sending messages and didn't open a dispute, so I assume he received. I've had one person in total claim never to have received at all, and he was in South Korea. My personal cost-benefit assessment is that it's worth having the additional international market. If something does get lost, I've probably more than made up for that loss in profits. But if more and more things start getting "lost" in the future, it won't be worthwhile anymore. I already require registered mail on anything over $50 to make sure any loss I might sustain would be relatively minimal.

Nicol Bolas is not in this storyline directly, AFAIK. Sorin has yet to come back to Innistrad as of yet. Liliana went to Innistrad to visit a demon to get some curse lifted, and there she found "The Veil" and wore it. Garruk was hunting her, and so she cursed him. With the Veil. As for Nicol Bolas, I'm sick of tired of him being in the storyline, and from what I can tell, it's that he stole liliana's soul or something. Don't expect to see much, if any of him in here. Or phyrexians.

People are slowing figuring out innistrad has no value and SOM you're liking to "win" just by cracking your packs. Thats my guess at least.

This SoM Block has some insane value, hell even things like gut shot, dismember, shrine of rage, etc are above 2 tix each, then you add 3 swords some PW's and some preators and call it good __________________ I shall have the souls of all who defy me. "Lord Crovax"

Is it wrong of me to not like the Commands in EDH? Mainly my strong dislike for Profane Command.

Dislike playing them or dislike playing against them? I like Cryptic and Austere in decks that can support them. I'm mixed on Primal and I can see certain decks where Profane would be good. Incendiary is junk. __________________ Wisconsin - smells like dairy air!I collect Granite Gargoyles. Send them my way.

I really dont like using them. Everyone says theyre so good and I see how they can be but it seems everytime I use em in a deck they never help me whatsoever and they just sit in my hand.

For the record, I hate Primal Command. Most useless card ever. Austere and Cryptic seem solid though.

Bought 10 foreign Morningtide boosters at the LGS, and opened Reveillark (Jap), and a Russian Bitterblossom, Vendilion Clique, and Mutavault. Why can't I do that more often?
