the same guy sold an unlimited booster box for 8000 US$ just last week ... and yeah I also was wondering if this guy was legit ... about the A.N box ... it clearly says 36 packs + listing picture is a Leggends box and not and Arabian box ... so I wonder if he just confused the two ...

The seller is clearly a scammer for a number of reasons. She/he has only sold low value singles and now all of a sudden has booster boxes of 2x UN, beta, AN, antiquities, AL, and Legends, and workshop playset, PSA graded stuff + more. The boxes are all stock photos. She/he knows what magic cards are worth so why would she/he sell a beta booster box for 3K as a buy it now? He is "cashing out" his Ebay account by stealing from Ebay members.

He also sold an Unlimited booster box for a buy it now of like $2800. I'm guessing not legit.

Except he did the same thing on Antiquities (60 packs) and Alliances (45 packs). Beta Box for 3000? Unlimited Box for 2300? I would be worried that it was a scam.

That's why you pay with a credit card. No chance of not getting your money back.

Not sure if you're referring to me or not, but I purchased a number of Mana Crypts from this person (I think this was before his listings for the sealed boxes went up). I was probably going to open a case on my own, but I did reference this thread when explaining my case to eBay. Ended up getting a full refund.

Sorry, didn't mean to offend. I was referring to the people who paid for "complete alpha set", unlimited booster box, etc for a small fraction of what is worth.

This listing looks a bit suspicious: http://www.ebay.com/itm/Alpha- Black-Lotus-Mtg-Artifact-second-owner-plus-bonus-300-cards-/300720885839?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item46045c904f Contains a back story and who in the world signs their eBay postings? No feedback for over 2 years and no MTG related items in feedback. I'd say this is a hacked account, but I could be wrong. What do you think? Edit: Oh, and the line "Due to the value of this card and the ability to counterfeit it once it is received, no returns will be accepted." gives me a laugh. Basically says "If I send you a counterfeit card don't try to accuse me of it because I'll claim you replaced the real one I sent with a fake". Heh.

They can win this. I purchased a collection awhile back for a few thousand that the seller said belonged to her ex husband. The collection was total **** contrary to what she described. I ended up having to send it back to canada but I still won the case. Any deception or mislabeling is still considered dishonest sales practices.

1) The Beta Swamp is real. The Black Lotus looks like a proxy. If you read the description, seller never promise to send a "Real Black Lotus". He just promised to send the card pictured. I am very sure the Black Lotus is a proxy card or rebacked card. 2) Now I know why there are people who pay a few backs for 1000 commons. They must be planning to pay a few hundred for lots of UC/C to put together such an auction, haha. Edit to add: In the 2nd auction, the seller knows enough to label "Volcanic Island" as a Dual.........He definitely know something about MTG!

Second auction looks plausible. The print from NeNe Thomas is pretty random.

Those were my thoughts as well. I think the second one is a scam, but there is not enough evidence to support the claim.

It matters not about the Lotus, the buyer can easily get their money back, either from ebay, paypal or their CC

The Lotus is one of those fakes that were coming out of Peru a few years ago. You'd have to be an idiot to bid.__________________ Looking for misprinted Commander decks. Got one? Talk to me.

No kidding... the back looks like from an Eventide card or some such similarly rediculous newer set.

What do people think of this auction:http://www.ebay.com/itm/TUNDRA-BETA-MAGIC-THE-GATHERING-MTG-RARE-DUAL-LAND-FREE-SHIPPING-/290735493458?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item43b12f9152 I've actually come across a similar card before, an unlimited Timetwister with a creased back and an untouched front. I assumed it was a reback, albeit a strange one due to being unlimited instead of beta/CE: the back had been replaced at some point. That's what I'd assume this is as well.

Reback. No way can the back get so jacked up and the front be flawless still.

Not to mention, its a one day auction. Who in their right mind would do a 1 day auction knowing that the seller will not make nearly as much money as a 7 day auction... unless the card is a fake and the seller is looking to cash out quickly.

Whoa, a $50 Mox Emerald that is in great condition! Here's the catch - shipping is $200 for express mail from Bulgaria, from a seller with 0 feedback. Who's going to roll the dice on this one? http://www.ebay.com/itm/Mox-Emerald-39-Unlimited-Rare-MtG-Artifact-P9-PowerNine-Magic-the-Gathering-/160798292632?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item2570533a98

Almost worth it to buy one and then try to get shipping back from ebay. Hmmm.... If they are fake you get your money back. Basically do you want $250 tied up for a month or so.
