heh, hes been asking around forever about that and no one gives him any type of value for it. He also seems to think that rarity means value. I'm fairly certain there is very little interest in it hence no one has been able to provide values. If something has real value and you post it for a price check, expect at least a couple PM offers.

real or not, there is no way to prove that this was actually sent from wizards in the first place, and not printed by him last night.

Why does ebay allow these people to exist? If Paypal has limits on what you can do with your account until you develop a history, why doesn't ebay enact similar rules for new, personal buyers/sellers?

Who wouldn't trade an ebay acct with 150 feedback for a couple thousand? Besides people with morals.

You're right, it is hard to prove authentic. And you're also right, I have been asking around a bit and getting no help. It's still a unique Wizards thing. If I find the right buyer, then I'm sure I can get a bit for it. I don't expect to get $4700, but if I post it for $100, then I can never get more, right? The only way to see how valuable oddities are is to post them and see what happens. If it sells, then I'll reply to my posts and give some actual information :-) __________________ 3rd most references in Kentucky; 3rd most posts in KentuckyBlackborder.com Grading Guide

Most of his seller's feed back is from 2002, too. Ten year old feedback? Only ten total seller's feedback? No problem!

Curious about the part where locals can come look at the cards (and is encouraging local pickup)." If you are local, you can email me to set up a time to come look at the cards. I strongly encourage local buyers or pick up, but will ship worldwide." I guess it adds some legitimacy to the auction for when it sells to some euro person who cant come look at them. Anyone going to go look?

LOL. From the Q&A on one of his listings:quote: Q: Do you have any pictures of the legends or arabian nights sets? Are they english and do you know if they are complete? Your alpha/beta lot, arabian nights and legends are worth anywhere between 3,000 to 25,000 so it's really key to know what's in there and definatly worth your time to figure out. That alpha/beta could be worth more then all the rest of the cards combined. Just tipping you off. -Ryan Jul-15-12 A: I do not have more pictures. I just layed the boxex out that I could get to and clicked a pic. As for if they are complete, I again, do not know. All I have is the checklists that go to each box. I have been told that these may be worth a lot of money. I had some interest from someone local and am waiting for an email back to schedule a time to come look. As for the value... I know this may sound odd to a collector of the game, but I do not care how much they are worth really. They have some unpleasant memories and feelings, plus I could use the space back in my house. So, if I get $10 a box then I am happy. lol

At a glance, he doesn't actually list where he lives so I'm not sure how someone "local" could look at them.

Interesting, someone is auctioning a sealed in box Helvault. Thing is, the picture of the Helvault in the auction is a stock photo. And the other photo in the auction is of a cardboard box with "Hellvault" written on it. But notice the extra "l". Does this seem sketchy?http://www.ebay.com/itm/271016602307?ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1423.l2649 edit: also noticed this seller has had one feedback since Feb 2010, and everything from then and earlier was not magic related.

Seems legit to me, as long as the other boxes said "Hellvault" also. As always, no risk in buying it. If it doesn't contain a Helvault, buyer can get their money back.

It seems legit, however, the letters of "Hellvault Display" are off and seem to have been placed not by one stamp, but of many individual letter stamps. My basis is the "T" letter which is shown much higher than the other letters on the box. The extra "L" could just be a typo from whomever orded the stamp, but does leave a bit of doubt in my mind. Also, this line seems like the seller isn't sure of what he has "THIS COULD BE ONE OF THE ALL FOIL DISPLAYS". I wouldn't bid on this.

Yea it was dumb, I was trying to pick up a beta sapphire at the time, got distracted and then I got yelled at to go to morton's. I knew it was undervalued but I didn't think about it much at the time which is pretty absurd considering :/.

What booth? I sure didn't see it because i would have thrown down $200 in a second. They did have a great 3 cards mis-cut run from AN Uncommon sheet but they want 600 or something for it.

It was one on the left looking at the dealers, other than that I don't remember. I think it may have come out sunday when no one was there.
