(thinking SCG or TCG low/mid/whatever, ebay completed's or w/e) They all use some weird crap I'd never even heard of and they told me that they value bulk rares at $1.00 each They even went so far as to say, quote, "But you can sell them for a dollar each if you want to" Me = flabbergasted! This situation would be a boon to the unscrupulous but I am not gonna fleece the people I wanna play with ya know! Besides that just damn bad Karma! Thoughts?
Get every junk rare you have and let the trading/selling commence. __________________ "Message to women worldwide: Girls....we're stupid. We don't like games. We don't know games. We can't read minds. Say it like you mean or STFU." -rockondonMy Sale Thread

I would like to buy some power and high-end stuff, nothing in particular just around 10k$ of that stuff for now, but not sure what's the best place to get them, not picky on condition and don't want to overpay. However, not sure where's the best place to get it at a decent price, ebay, motl, GPs, i've wanted to get them in a collection but no luck during the last few weeks

So Puca Trade, has anyone tried it? I'm looking at it now and have a few things that I can send out, but none of the items I want are available from any member. Will like, somebody see that I want some stuff and upload them on the fly? Or is it just a bunch of people that want high end stuff hoping to get it? I often receive lists of cards from friends and they ask me to obtain them. If this site works, it'd be a sick way to actually just trade for things as needed. However, the inventory of available cards is lacking. Looking for some insight from a member who might be using it already as to how well it works. Thanks!

There is no necessity to know what people have on puca. You post your wants and haves. Trade match to find people that 1. Have the points and 2. Want the cards. Send the cards and they give points upon receipt. Then when you have enough points for the cards you want someone may/will send it. I have had no issues on there and have been moving bulk Rares and semi playable un/Commons. Built blue tron on puca only. Cost me bulk and the postage to send. It just takes a while to gain points. And anyone who wants the card and doesn't have the points won't show up and if you want the card and don't have the points Noone can send it, unless they go into your profile and send for less points than worth.

Re: PucaTrade... I've tried it for a couple months now. I originally had hopes of 'cashing in' cheap stuff and building up towards some nice stuff, but doesn't seem like too many people want to trade away their high dollar things there (can't blame them; also worth noting the site technically only allows trading for NM cards, so makes it tough for older cards). It seems like any nonfoil c/u/r/m want lists for cards $0.15 to $10 get filled pretty quick there, as long as you have the points available in your account to 'pay' for them. So much so, that it makes it hard for me to trade away things like that as others beat me to it. Premium members that have their full collection listed, and are constantly on the site, have the best chance to trade away their bulk and build up points.

You can always just buy the points and list your wants. I am sure many on there do that. My main complaint bout pucatrade is that I get alot of traders that just disappear, and/or don't confirm when they receive what I've sent to em. You have to open up a pucatrade case, blah blah. Admin's are kinda slow as well. And every card is over priced. Want a revised Underground Sea? That'll be 32349 puca points, which is really $323.49 in cash. I had not a clue Revised Seas were $300+ now... __________________ 28th in refs on Motl! #1 Ref's for Arizona! I offer 3rd party trading services. Email if interested. That is not entirely true. 90% of my collection is like .10 to $10 cards. and guess what? They still be sitting. How do get the points you ask? Send a big $$$ card, for example, and Underground Sea, Gaea's Cradle or the like. One card gets ya a buttload of points, then you can get the best chance at getting the cards you want. __________________ 28th in refs on Motl! #1 Ref's for Arizona! Anyone else think now they will put fetchlands in the M15 set? __________________ 28th in refs on Motl! #1 Ref's for Arizona! I offer 3rd party trading services. Email if interested. Your 2008, 2010 & 2012 Siskel & Ebert award winner! Your Motl runner-up in My Cousin Vinny & Rolling Stone Award!

Pretty sure Forsythe hinted it would be 2015 before fetches reprint. There is the possibility of this guy and fetches both in standard though. If they aren't reprinted in MM2.

Thank you guys for the input about Puca Trade. I don't figure I will have a problem acquiring points as I have very little issue mashing big things for small things.I guess my one concern is that there wouldn't be what I wanted on site once I acquired the points, but based on your guys' posts it sounds like I won't have a problem. It becomes a convenient way for me to acquire cards that friends and other customers want without really having to trade.

Very few. Fetches and shocks in standard at the same time? Somehow I don't think so. Earliest possible would be the fall set. I did read the planeswalker article on the mothership today and Eldrazi did come up an awful lot. I wouldn't be surprised if the next plane we return to is Zendikar (and fetches). http://archive.wizards.com/magic/magazine/article.aspx?x=mtg/daily/feature/304

No, I'd be very surprised if there are fetches in M15. I would speculate that we get the ZEN fetches in the next Modern Masters (probably next year), and the ONS ones in M16. This would 1) allow for shocks to fully be out of Standard, 2) gives only the friendly color fetches to Standard, as all 10 would be too good, while 3) still providing some badly needed price relief for Modern.

Not sure where they said that but 10 fetches in one set would be insanity. Wizards wants to sell packs and they very well know that you always spread the chase rares out across as many sets as possible. 5 fetches in a single set would be the maximum imo. They can make last minute changes whenever they want. They could put fetches in the next block if they want.

The cycle already exists as all 10, but does that preclude them from only printing the friendly colors in Standard?

From what I remember is that in a core set or across a block you will get either 10 or none. This has been communicated many times. Just can't find a link. But mma2 would make sense next year or during a return to zendikar block next year.

Not a guarantee that we will always get all ten but here is a Rosewater quote from 2013."R&D has come around on dual lands and now believes that we have to try and give the audience access to all ten pairs as much as we can." http://markrosewater.tumblr.com/post/50101329983/so-i-know-that-there-are-plenty-of-reasons-why-dual

Fetches aren't in M15, you get the enemy painlands from Apocalypse instead.

So much Zendikar lately though, and consider that Jace, Nissa, Sorin, Kiora and Gideon are still currently trying to finish the Eldrazi off. All the cards from m15 featuring the Zendikar Plane... I hope the next block is Zendikar and fetches.__________________ Want Drana, Kalastria Bloodchief, and other vampire females oddities (foreign, foil, crimp, miscut, misprint, sign, test print, alters, artist proofs, etc)

So apparently the MOTL price guide is just plain wrong nowadays. How do people price stuff now out?

Yeah TCG Low, but I'd love to have the MOTL guide back. At this point it's as likely as any miracle to happen.

TCGLow is legit for any fairly new cards. Don't use it for older cards that demand a premium for NM over LP, because it uses LP+ condition cards to determine the low price. As an example, you'll find you can buy REV Underground Seas at the low for 240 but the lowest NM copy is 280+.
