I'm a Bears fan and I'm still bitter so yes I would have . Doesn't make me right . I just don't like Peyton Manning.

:/ **** happens, I guess. At least they got that far. Maybe the Pats defense will be even better next year.__________________ *My LJ*Letter Bombs!*Facebook*Logout- I had it second!*CKGB

The Pat's defense did their job. Some forced fumbles just didn't bounce their way. Both teams played equally enough to win the game, but only one team wins in the end. Good Superbowl.

I know they did. Holding the Giants to 2 touchdowns and 2 FGs was a good performance. And they certainly improved over the course of the year. But they went from "garbage" to "ok." I'd like them to be in a spot where giving up those points is a bad performance for them. It would make the offense not have to work as hard, or at least not think they do, which would take some pressure off. They looked more like the defenses that were dominant in the 03 and 04 seasons, except that there were a few missed tackles because they went in for the big hit and didn't wrap the guy with the ball up. I liked that they were being physical. I still can't get over that safety. What the hell was Brady doing? On the first play of the game, even. Would have been way better to chuck it at someone's feet. The two points isn't the problem, there, it's the tempo. On third down, maybe you take the safety instead of punting, but probably not. __________________ *My LJ*Letter Bombs!*Facebook*Logout- I had it second!*CKGB

Yeah, that was such a weird play all around. Brady usually makes good decisions but that was about as bad a decision anyone could have made. Not to mention, the 2 points actually played a HUGE role in the game. Take out the 2 points and make it a 3 and out at worst and the Pats punt back to the Giants a bit like the free kick after the safety so assume everything else goes the same. Then Jacobs TD at the end comes with the Pats up 17-13 instead of 17-15. The TD plus kick puts them up 20-17 and Brady only needs to drive down enough to get into reasonable FG range.

Players suspended for Saints bounty program Junior Seau found dead
I for one won't be surprised if we find out that CTE has struck again.

Sad but probably true. One of the best players of the last 25 years.

Lions aren't getting out of the first round with no secondary AND no running game. If they were good at one of those, I could see it, but they suck at both right now, and a bad secondary won't get them past Brees and Rodgers. Tony "The Choke Artist" Romo isn't taking the Cowboys past the first round any time soon. He may get them into the playoffs, but he'll choke like he does in every big game (and some regular season games) he's played in.

Stafford: 172 yards, 3 INTThe only thing more shocking is the Saints choking at home against a rookie QB Random stat: 1920-2010: 2 63-yard field goals 2011-2012: 2 63-yard field goals, both on opening week

Hey, the sun even shines on a dog's ass once in a while. If the Patriots are worse than 5-3 by week 8, I'll be worried. No sense in worrying until then. Their defense has a recent history of not havin it's act together until later in the season. Jones and Hightower are rookies and still getting acclimated. I expect them to be nasty by December. Edit: of course, I expected the Red Sox to make the playoffs this year. And last. __________________ *My LJ*Letter Bombs!*Facebook*Logout- I had it second!*CKGB

I'm tempted to go down to Tampa Bay, take a cheap shot on their coach and when he is confused on the floor in Rutgers, ask him if that's not how they do it at Rutgers. What is up with this moron. ESPECIALLY after bountygate.
