It still wasn't an embarrassment. What happened to the Giants and Lions was an embarrassment.

On the bright side, Megatron is 182 away from the record. 91yds in each of the last two games gets it done. Hopefully, Megatron getting the record will convince Detroit's front office TO DRAFT A ****ING DB IN THE 1ST RD FOR ONCE!!!!!!!

Since they played tonight, who has had a worse last two seasons: Chris Johnson or Mark Sanchez?

Oh, it's Mark "Dirty" Sanchez, by a country mile. No question.

Does this also take in consideration their contracts?

Not saying Sanchez doesn't suck. Not saying Sanchez is cheap. Yes, Sanchez sucks.

It takes into consideration that he's been in the bottom 5 overall passer ratings for like 5 years straight, and he went ass to mouth last month against the Pats.

Never go ass to mouth! XD

Well put.

I only consider this because I like the Titans. Most everyone else would not compare Sanchez to CJ.

MEGATRON

Too bad the Lions will only win 4 games this year. Time to fire people (and draft GOOD safetys and corners).

Megatron is such an amazing player. Kudos to him for going down in history.

So, I have been thinking about this year's individual awards.

For coach of the year, could an interim HC win this award? Bruce Arians has done an amazimg job and should be a HC somewhere after this season.

The MVP race should be hotly contested this year.
Adrian Peterson, Calvin Johnson, Peytom Manning and Tom Brady all have strong cases to win this award this year.

ROY. I think this one is a no-brainer. RGIII has taken D.C and the NFL by storm with his athleticism, his arm and his winning. Luck has been good too, but I think the fact that RGIII plays in the tough NFC East, helps him here.

What do you guys think?

I think the post-season will have a lot to do with my final "vote" because if Manning wins even a single playoff game, he gets the nod over everyone else unless Brady makes another Superbowl appearance (win or lose). If both the Patriots and the Broncos lose their first playoff games, I think you pretty much HAVE to give the nod to Adrian Peterson (and if he breaks the rushing record, I think he wins by a mile, barring either Brady or Manning winning the Superbowl).

RGIII and Calvin Johnson are rightfully in the discussion but I strongly feel it's between Brady, Manning, and Peterson.

Except awards are given for the regular season.

If I had an MVP ballot, it would look like this:

1. Peterson
2. Manning
3. JJ Watt
4. Matt Ryan
5. RGIII

After I posted my list, I thought of J.J. Watt immediately but didn't edit it in.
Matt Ryan is having a great season as well.

Well my Giants whiffed on the playoffs, but at least I have last year to remember. It's kind of fun to be the team that nobody ever wants to fight in January even tho it comes at the expense of getting decimated from September to December.

Meh, I wasn't taking the thread literally - I was reading it like "If we were voting on this stuff during lunch break..."

Even with all the missteps the Giants had this season, they were still very much in the mix. Many teams would die for the chance to be this kind of "failure" (*cough* Cowboys *cough*)
Giants are a well-coached, talented team and I really hope they take it up a notch next year.

I don't know honestly quite what happened. If you asked the 49ers or Packers if they wanted to play the Giants in the playoffs they would for sure say somebody else please. Losing to Cinci was pretty much the beginning of the end.

Rdeskins vs Broncos would be a cool Super Bowl.

2 great stories, going head to head.

So gonna post playoff predictions once the seeds are set.

Totally forgive me for jumping on bandwagon, but Russel Wilson. Wilson looks like he'd outplay RG3 any day.

I'd rather see the two 6 seeds. Nothing against RGIII and the 'Skins, but I can't stand the Donks, and I hate their idiot fans and idiot media, and I would love nothing more than to see them knocked out by Brady in Mile High.

**The preceding post was made by a bitter and infuriated Lions fan that wants his team to draft DB's in the FIRST round, and hire a GOOD defensive coordinator. And dumping Titus Young off a cliff would make for a great Christmas present for all Lions fans.

It's certainly been an interesting year in the NFL. I'm rooting for Peyton, the Colts, and I guess the Vikings this year... Hopefully one of them does alright in the postseason.

Forgive me for saying this, but I hope one of the top seeds wins this year. I'm a Giants fan and all, but having the best team of the year be the won that just wins for 6 weeks straight is becoming a trend lol.

That's how I see it, too. Although I think the Texans have a good shot at beating Cinci, I'd rather see the Bengals go farther this year. Colts/Ravens depends on which Ravens team shows up... my bet is the chokers return.

Trader Mike is gone. Rex is staying. Most likely Tebow is going. Sanchez is probably staying too.
