Arizona Cardinals are 3 - 0 for first time 1974 and alone atop NFC West. Am I dreaming? If so, don,t wake me...

I'm sorry sir, but as a Seahawks fan I must say... poo on you! =)

Yeah, it sucks they are 3-0 with a win against us too...
I think that week 1 victory might be a huge factor later on in the season... let's hope not though.

We (Seattle) have GB to face tomorrow night... I honestly think they have a really good chance at staying close with them if not whipping them!

Why is it that Packer fans had no problem when a horrible PI call helped give them the lead, but when the Seahawks win the game on another horrible call, they are upset?

Because the refs already had the "make up call" against the packers with the defense PI on that 1st and 30 play.

Who do I run for my QB on Sunday? Matt Ryan of Atlanta or Robert Griffin of Washington?

tampa is stuffing the run so WAS will have to throw, but Carolina is a mess. Tampa has also defended 26 passes compared to Carolina's 15.

I'd start Ryan.

Disturbing and sad. Head coach Romeo Crennel and the gm witnessed him shoot hinself in the head. And he was 25. Sad.

I don't think it was either of those. This was not a crime of passion, or heat of the moment sort of thing. He wasn't simply raging, or hallucinating.

He was having "arguments" with his girlfriend for long enough where her mother knew about it. The day he killed her, he later drove however many miles to the stadium, equipped with a gun. He told the coaching staff how much he appreciated the opportunities they gave him, and then shot himself.

It all smacks of a strategy. It's more likely a depression thing, but I doubt we'll ever know.

Really sucks for the kid they left behind.

All I want for Christmas is a defense that can stop people when it ******* counts, and a GM that uses his 1st Rd pick on a safety of corner instead of ANOTHER offensive player

A man tragically dies. This is what you have to say? Oh well.

How come this hasn't been shutdown in favor of a NFL 2012-13 thread? It happened with the NBA thread.

Or we could just change the title (Mods) to reflect on the current year. Has the NBA one being changed really hurt you in some sort of way, that we can help you with

It hasn't hurt me in any way. My main chime in was to just post a piece of my mind about how horrible Volc is. But in doing so, I noticed the title and wondered. A mod recently did close down the 2011 NBA thread and started a 2012 one.

I didn't find Volc's political mini-rant "horrible" as much as it is misguided.

The key difference here is that the murder/suicide appears to have been entirely premeditated. I could easily and legally get a firearm and plan the same course of actions, even under the strictest of gun laws. And with my mind set to it, I could use any number of weapons to carry out the same action.

That's why I say misguided... gun control would have done nothing to prevent or even deter this event.

Bob Costas recently came under fire for making much the same claims, only far more at length.

Loving that the 49'ers are up 31-3 on the Patriots.

Would love to see Harbaugh pull and Billacheat and run the score up! In Foxboro no less!

Yeah...

But 31-10 with the ball doesn't look quite as awful. I'm not surprised the SF is leading and probably going to win. I am surprised with how poorly NE has played.

THIS. Say what you will about Bellycheeks, but they pulled off a convincing win over Houston last week. This was fairly embarrassing. Still, all the credit in the world goes to San Fran - they're legit as @#$&!

Losing by 7 isn't embarrassing. Detroit mailing it in against AZ was.

Losing by 7 was the end result. The embarrassing part was how they played for the first half and most of the third quarter. It was 31 to 10 until the 4th quarter.
