So a top 8 competitor at GP San Diego is sporting a MOTL shirt. Name: Paul Yeem. Congrats on the top 8. Anyone know if he is still active on here?

Turned 35 on Sunday. Finally got to see one of my favorite bands ever on said birthday. Met the lead singer, and got him to sign my copy of their really freaking rare first album. So when I finally get that fireproof safe for my M:tG cards and my rare comics, this sucker is going in there too. Greenville, SC and Charlotte, NC are beautiful cities! My sister and I stopped in Greenville for lunch, and I would have loved to have spent more time there, but we ended up being late to the show anyway. The Noda district of Charlotte reminded me a lot of East Atlanta, but without the dread feeling that turning the wrong corner would end up with someone very politely asking me for all of my money. Anyway, if you're an oldster like me, and you liked Hum and Failure way back in the 90's, the show was freaking great, and you should try to go to one of the remaining tour dates. I wish I could have afforded to see Hum here in Atlanta, and at that Charlotte show. Also: THEM VINYL PRICES, yeesh.

I posted 3 times in the H/W section in a row for the first time since... well, a long time. Gotta get back that top 10 before the switch to MOTL 2 EDIT: By the way, I noticed a huge difference in globes besides the titles since the last time I was trading actively. Apparently there are a lot less traders willing to send worldwide

With the increase in shipping prices for international trades + the requirements to have proof of sending/receipt, it's just hard to justify small trades internationally. :\

Wow, I didn't realize Hum was even that well known outside of the Midwest...or that they were even still doing any form of touring. One of my favorite shows in my high school years was a free concert they did one summer night at a park in Champaign. __________________ Wisconsin - smells like dairy air!I collect Granite Gargoyles. I know. It's a sad thing. It's not too appealing anymore to help Bernieb for instance with his Stone Rain collection whenever I get my hands on a few.

They're really not. Which is a shame, because they were amazing. quote: ...or that they were even still doing any form of touring.
Once again, they're really not. This was just a few dates with Failure while Failure is touring for their new album. The only remaining original member is Matt Talbot. quote: One of my favorite shows in my high school years was a free concert they did one summer night at a park in Champaign.
I bet it was awesome! I had some tenuous plans to go with a friend to see them in Chicago for a free New Years Eve show several years ago, but I just could not scrape up the cash. ATL to CHI ain't cheap! MY high school days were during You'd Prefer an Astronaut/Downward is Heavenward. I've been a fan since. In other news: Voluntarily uninstalled Mozilla Firefox for the first time in well over a decade. I had a few minor complaints with the search engine changes, and Pocket integration, but the CEO's brain dead SJW nonsense pushed me over the edge. Using Opera now which I'm actually liking better to be honest. Opera has REALLY made some improvement since last I used it, plus, I can highlight text and search that text in multiple search engines just by right clicking again. Not having the slow/laggy scrolling problems on certain sites like I was having in Firefox too. Fix yo' **** Mozilla. Now, just if Yahoo could get their **** together with Aviate and make that good again, I could be a fairly happy camper. Speaking of happy camper: Fighting depression blows ass. I'm at a complete loss at this point.

Best solution for depression is physical activity. I know it sucks but fresh air and movement, whatever, gets the endorphins pumping.

HP is responsible for the worst consumer electronics I've ever owned, and I bought both the R-ZOne and Virtual Boy, and was pretty happy with my Sega Saturn back in the day.My first HP was one of the pavilion towers. Poor performance from the get go, and it died completely after a month. Got a free replacement that performed poorly for a couple years. My second was a 17 in. desktop replacement laptop. What a pile of worthless. Even with a cooling pad and an undervolting hardware and software mod it still burned out it's processor in just over a year of web browsing and light gaming (counterstrike orig), it specs enough that it should have been able to play Modern warfare 2(yeah right). The third and hopefully last was a stream 8 windows tablet. I bought this before a submarine deployment, during which it was to be my primary form of entertainment(I had a bunch of movies downloaded.) I quickly found out that getting this thing to charge was a small miracle, and when it did it discharged so quickly I'm pretty sure it violated the laws of physics. It would discharge itself from 100% to self shutdown in about 4 hours of SLEEP mode. (That's with the screen off, and the supposedly hibernating or whatever solid state computers do when they do that.) It was also in Airplane mode, with wifi, bluetooth, and all other things disabled, so don't try to tell me that was the problem. When I got to Malaysia first thing I did was dropkick it into the ocean. I hope that the people who designed that thing and who caused me that aggravation are incapable of satisfying their wives and live generally unsatisfying lives. The point is don't buy HP things. Get literally anything else, then you'll be all "Well, this banana doesn't do email but at least I don't feel like shooting myself!" /end unprovoked anti-hp rant.

How deep did you go? Atmospheres? I have no idea but could that have had an effect on the battery? Probably not. HP does suck out loud.

"In excess of 700 Ft." The hull is pressurized though so the atmosphere inside is relatively normal.

You heard wrong. At least for consumer level, they're the worst in the industry. The. Worst.

I think I crapped myself laughing . Wait, let me check... Yeah I did crap myself laughing! I suppose I will actually! IF we do the 3rd party system, we'll be sending simultaneously. That's somewhat comparable to sending first If we do one day start up MOTL2, please join. It wouldn't be the same without you __________________ I'm a geek, you're a geek. Meh, I like the one I have. Works well, has a scanner, ink is wicked cheap on Ebay. It makes some funky noises when you turn it on, but it was cheap used, and it works.

For now. If you have a tank-style inkjet, your print heads are going to fail in a timeframe that I personally find premature. If you have integrated printhead style, the electronics on the cartridges are specifically made to fail. I had countless HP 60's and 901's come brand new out of the box and have electronic faults. If you have a laser printer...you're actually probably ok. I worked in the printer industry for five years. I left the printer industry because it's as bad as politics. It's a race to the bottom. When my suggestion to people is to buy a Brother printer because Brother is the "least ****ty", it's a statement on how bad the industry is. I joked that Lexmark was HP's only saving grace. Then Lexmark pulled out of the consumer level side of the industry. HP wears the **** crown and sits on the **** throne now. Those Kodak printers were an absolute debacle. It would have been hilarious to see a company fail at something that badly if so many people hadn't been conned into buying them by outright lies.

So far, I've been having a good experience with my Cannon Pixima whatever it is....But it does refuse to accept re-manufactured ink cartridges. Luckily, I can just get them off amazon or ebay for about $20 for two, usually, and they last quite a while with my draft-quality printing habbits.... But seriously, **** Kodak's printers. But hey, at least their 35mm film was better than fujifilm.

I have loved my Brother printer/scanner and my mother has had one for a long time as well. __________________ "Message to women worldwide: Girls....we're stupid. We don't like games. We don't know games. We can't read minds. Say it like you mean or STFU." -rockondonSale Thread
