Add Candelabra to the list of cards I should have picked up when I had the chance. __________________ Most References in Massachusetts 92nd All-timeSupport my friend's store: http://www.tabletoparena.com

Legacy: Spring Tide (Top 2 at the SCG, playing in the finals) 100 and 115 just sold on ebay, i am guessing 120+ EDIT (as well as the deck Zackman mentioned)

Add a few RV and UNL dual lands I could've picked up two years ago for $20-30 just before the giant price jump.

Just out of curiosity, mostly, but i'm considering messing with a deck like that and trying it at a tourny. T1: Swamp, Vampire Lacerator T2: Attack for 2. Swamp, Vampire Lacerator, Pulse Tracker, Demon of Death's Gate with alternate cost. T3: Mountain, Assault Strobe, Demon swings for 18. Or on turn 4 without strobe. T1: Forest. T2: Forest, Blight Mamba T3: Forest, Giant Growth, Groundswell, Primal Bellow. Swing for 11 Poison. Can also use r/g lands and assault strobe/groundswell. Black with Vampire's Bite, too. edit: Oh, and i got to thinking about this after being inspired by Nderdog's comment about his 4th win, so here's another. T1: Mountain, Memnite, Memnite, Mox Opal, Kuldotha Rebirth (pop opal), Goblin Guide. Swing for 2. T2: Swing for 7. Mountain, Kuldotha Rebirth (pop a Memnite). T3: Goblin Bushwhacker kicked, swing for 13. Or Contested Warzone in lieu of Bushwhacker.
If you really want a broken god hand for T2 then you want this: Mountain, Mox Opal, Mox Opal, Memnite, Memnite, Kuldotha Rebirth, Bushwhacker, with Bushwhacker on Top of Library. First turn 12 Damage second turn 14 damage. Turn 2 Kill

Hmmm, wouldn't mono-white mandate 4x Mystic + Swords?

ended up playing some random TPS list. Was rather funny because I was rolling along as expected since my deck out powered everything.... the store owner being a fan of old cards since he had been playing forever asked if his buddies could watch my next game. I got paired against some younger kid who I kinda felt bad for, however my deck did poorly, and I made a play error along the way as well. He had a pair of soul wardens in play, I necro'd down to ~9 and found nothing but mana and preordains. Seemed fine, except the preordains didn't find anything except a tinker, but I threw it to the bottom because I had lethal storm that turn. I was forced to necro more and went to 4, then 2 on his attack... literally won on the back of a coin flip on mana crypt going in my favor. I did have a turn 1 kill, something like mox, mox sol ring, lotus, ritual, twister, ritual, ritual, hurkyl's recall, tendrils. Thankfully it was against a friend that was borrowing cards so he expected it and didn't whine too much.

I did not make this change in my build (I have a friend who did), but I've never found Wardriver to be useful personally. I either don't need him or he can't help me. Thanks Josh. Just one question, what is Chimeric Mass for? Is it for late game or? *EDIT*: Also, no Teetering Peaks? __________________ Φ Phyrexia FTW! Φ

Chimeric Mass = Early game Kuldotha food and late game useful creature. No comes into play tapped lands as they slow the deck down.

so im kind of getting into EDH now and its really nice this isnt an EDH topic,.. but why dont regular magic become more like EDH?1st of all the great thing about EDH is you only need x1 of a card.. so if its rare or expensive or both.. at least you only need 1 copy 2nd thing what is the reason or flavor behind making people play x4 of a card.. not that u HAVE to but for consistance reasons you want to. if the rule was only x1 of any given card it would make it more diverse and games wouldnt feel so boring or repetative whats the flavor of being able to have x4 mythic legends in 1 deck? or x4 in yours and x4 in your opponents.. that dont seem like a very exotic mythic or legend to me. mid as well print him as a common.. yet there can only ever be x4 grizzly bears in my deck.. there is no way a deck full of forests can support more then x4 grizzly bears. thats odd having to get "playsets" of cards just seems redundant it would make buying packs and boxes actualy worth it since u only need to pull 1 of each card and with box's u generaly dont pull duplicates specialy of mythics etc and if u do happen to pull x2 of a nice rare or mythic you could easily use them as good trade bait insted of having to cling on to them for dear life trying to make your playset and isnt that what magic is really all about.. chaos on the battlefield having several diffrent creatures fight for you insted of just x4 of this good 1 and x4 of that good 1 isnt it much more satisfing to topdeck the game winning card knowing theres only 1 in your deck

well initially there was no limit on number of copies, so decks owuld just be lotus x a bunch, lightning bolt x a bunch, time twister x a bunch assuming it would be possible to track down those cards back then. 4 was chosen for power reasons to limit broken decks a little. It has nothing to do w/ flavor. Why more then 1 copy? uh, well mostly to sell packs, but also so you can build decks that do what you want them to do because they are consistent instead of randomly hoping to see certain cards.

I remember people playing decks with Juggernauts and 20 Deserts... not fun.

I'm actually amazed I lived to see the day when it would be a steal to get a Time Spiral for $16. Heck, after the huge bannings in Urza's block I mostly tossed them into the crap rare box where they got moldy and rotten... never during it's day did I think Saga was going to be akin to Legends, whoops.

I don't think it's really a steal. I should probably sell mine now, but I am stubborn and not gonna let my playset go unless I get 25/ea.
