So getting 1% of the alpha deathlaces wasnt as hard as I thought it would be... I managed to buy them all in one ebay auction. (feels like I cheated) So now its on to trying for 2% and seeing as how I've only found 9 more online it might be a real challange this time. __________________ Deathlace count 12 Alpha 02 Beta 06 IE 05 CE 00 Unl 01 Rev 01 4th

only $2500? heh... Not sure what the value on my backpack is but its got 10 beta duals, power, ~100 guru lands, thousands of foils, etc. It also never leaves my sight if I go somewhere besides our LGS and our LGS is so small that I don't worry. At large events my backpack sits between my feet as I sit down. If I caught someone trying to steal my stuff, it wouldn't end well...

I just keep my backpack between my feet with my legs through the straps during tournaments.

well I guess the issue is he says its one grade, lists a grading scale, then puts u pa picture that shows the actual condition, but the actual condition is far worse then the grade he stated. Buyer beware, huh?

How often is The Gatherer updated? It still says Time Spiral is banned in Legacy. Or maybe it is, but I thought you could run 4 of's of it now (or is that Vintage only?) ~MM __________________ I am MeddlingMage...YOUR Motl Survivor 11 Champion, 2007 Captain N award winner, 2010 Marlboro award winner.MafiaBass (9:48:50 PM): sorry my keyboard is sticky MeddlingEric (9:48:56 PM): ewwww MafiaBass (9:51:43 PM): FTR, I did not show you my e-pee-pee New keeper of the Logout button

Isn't he a member of this forum? It's funny because I tried to buy a card from him here when I first arrived and he said it was "EX". When I asked him to which guide he was referring, he became rude, saying that he didn't want to give a picture and couldn't be bothered to describe it further, saying that "EX is EX".

That is a MP on his grading scale without the crease, doesn't look like a SP- to me. Definitely misleading to claim the card to have a crease and grade it SP-/MP. Fairly common on ebay. Seen way too many listings grading their cards as NM and the scans show otherwise. __________________ Have/Want List References Email me: magik_321@hotmail.com

Is that because you've pimped out chunks of it? If not, I am even more scared-ified. It really says something about a format when even decent decks that definitely don't dominate cost an arm and a leg to build. I just activated three separate instances of 3 different charbelchers in a casual game of magic; and each time I activated it the first card I hit was a non-basic land.Charbelcher is no longer in my monored EDH; but I'll keep sculpting steel in for now. __________________ Bargain is not to powerful for EDH, EDH is to weak for Bargain!

Yeah, I realized it was kind of silly to carry around Power that I'm not even using. That number could easily triple if I really wanted to play with fire. I do pretty well for carry 3 EDH decks and one binder, especially with no duals and no desire to carry a bunch of junk. __________________ Most References in Massachusetts 85th All-timeSupport my friend's store: http://www.tabletoparena.com

Goblin Offensive is my new favorite red card; move over Lightning Bolt and Goblin Grenade! EDH: GOP; tap for 12, land 9 tokens, next turn Goblin Bushwhacker, swing for 30 for the win :P

Yeah once my dualies went up to what they are now, I decided to leave a lot of stuff home. I used to like to show it off because it's one of my favorite possessions, but now it's like, I'm never trading these... I might as well just leave em home where they're safe. Recently built another binder to trade out of. I get really weirded out about leaving my EDH decks around too. Most of the time they're full of goodies, and it would be a shame if someone walked off with one.

Part of the reason I got out of Vintage (aside from the complete lack of tournament support locally) was that I hated carrying around $2k+ in cards. I just got nervous everytime I played somewhere that I would leave a few hundred dollars behind by accident. I'm finding the same problem with EDH now. __________________ Wisconsin - smells like dairy air!

Anyone else here hate showing off their "collection"; I collect certain cards but whenever I go somewhere I leave that binder(s) at home; and no matter where I go someone (or someones) is always showing off a binder of duals; or power 9 or alters....over compensating much people? __________________ Bargain is not to powerful for EDH, EDH is to weak for Bargain!

How is it overcompensating if someone enjoys showing off their collection? Other people also enjoy looking at collections. If you have something worth showing off, you can always find people who will appreciate it. If you do not like it, do not look at it. It is that simple. It also seams like you want to show your stuff off, but do not like that theirs is more valuable than yours.....hypocrite? Jealous Haters are always gonna hate I guess. And by the way, I do not ever carry any cards besides decks to places as I hate trading and would rather just buy. But I believe just because you do not like this, as with most of your opinions on this board, does not mean people are "overcompensating".

My collection stays at home (conveniently not my mailing address ). I hate looking through binders and people saying "oh, that's not for trade". Then why did you put it in you trade binder? Likewise, there's tons of stuff I don;t wnat to trade, so I leave it at home. __________________ #1 in posts from Brazil!#3 in Refs from Brazil; Got any Portuguese Foils?
