I do it specifically to annoy people like you. And I love the reaction of people when they see Power for the first time and know what it is. The best response is always, "Are those real?!?" __________________ Most References in Massachusetts 85th All-timeSupport my friend's store: http://www.tabletoparena.com

My response to seeing someone packing that much money is "Don't forget about it when you leave." *blank stare* __________________ Bargain is not to powerful for EDH, EDH is to weak for Bargain!

My collection of Firebolts and Chatter of the Squirrels is legendary locally. I have about 100 of each, and thanks to FICHBOM it grows at a steady pace. When I bring my binder to the local scene, one of my friends will grab it and show it to any new players, saying "you gotta see this, this guy is more obsessed with these cards than I am about the cards I hoard." I bring it for that kind of reaction, and to show some players who weren't around for the Un-sets my cards (i have a full Unhinged set and two pages of Unglued cards)

it really depends... someone brining power and duals to a FNM with regulars is kinda lame since there's pretty much nothing that would be traded out of that binder so really what's the point? I collect angels and dragons - although they generally arent comparable in price to the duals/powers but the summer serra/shivan are pretty pricy and i wouldnt bring those anywhere. I have seen some people who honestly would trade their powers/duals for stuff while others just bring it to brag like "here, look at this" so it is kinda case by case basis....

I have a collection binder, only reason I bring it with me is the off chance someone has something I want, that my more basic binder can't get me, otherwise what I have in it often isn't for trade.Though that is more due to, yea I want your duals but I have nothing worth more then 5 bucks people that seem to litter most stores. __________________ I shall have the souls of all who defy me. I'm slowly working on a binder or Sol Rings and a little less impressive a binder of Master Apothecary... __________________ I shall have the souls of all who defy me. "Lord Crovax"

I leave most of my stuff at home too, a lot of the kids at my FNM leave thier decks/bags lying around and its just silly.I'm shooting for a playset of all the sets and when I completed the playset of Ice Age no one there was all that impress so I havent taken anything back to show off. I took a vintage charbelcher deck with me once. The kids I played didnt even know mox jet and mox emerald were real cards. __________________ Deathlace count 12 Alpha 02 Beta 06 IE 05 CE 00 Unl 01 Rev 01 4th

I typically will bring some stuff with me, but I usually don't take it out. I like having it to put the kid who thinks he's hot **** because he has a set of Rev. Trops back in his place. But let me also say there's no harm if he just wants to show off a bit. It's the difference between having fun and being a cocky SoB. I think you all know what I mean. The problem I usually run into is no one actually has any trade stuff I want, so no sense in letting them rummage through my binders.

I'm not sure how anyone can try and be "cocky" because they have cards. You spent money on cards, that doesn't make you impressive. I'm more impressed with 1 pro point than a guy that has a complete p9 set.

I'm more impressed by someone who can properly wash themselves than someone with a pro point.

what if I've got both? heh I don't pull out my power, but I do play with beta duals, foil fetches, guru lands, loads of foils/betas, etc in all my EDH decks. My prefered formats are 40 cards or 100 so a lot of the time I'm playing with a small pile of junk w/o sleeves. People that know my collection know not to try and one up, but at the same time if they want to brag about what they have, I don't really care.

those are for magic online theres only a few online cards that are worth the same or more then physical cardsFoW, Vampric Tutor, Jace 2.0 are the only ones I can think of off and that follow the value of physical cards. I beleive it has a lot to do with if the card is redeemable or not. __________________ Deathlace count 12 Alpha 02 Beta 06 IE 05 CE 00 Unl 01 Rev 01 4th

And cards from older sets are constantly being opened and entering circulation due to older sets being added in reverse order. Also, Squadron Hawk is the May FNM promo. __________________ seancperry on MTGO Standard: Pyromancer Ascension, $30 Quest Legacy: Merfolk, Epic Storm, Dredge, CounterTop Thopter, Affinity

That's the same Mod who told me if i had to buy cards the way he wanted me to because he was a mod. Negotiations did not go well lol. Edit: I found his trade post the best is he has "170 refs combined" between here and Salvation so everyone MUST send first to him What a Donkey Bum. __________________ Member Since 03/28/2001 10000+ posts 3rd in posts in Ontario 15th in posts on MOTL Top 5 in Refs in Ontario (by people who location posted)

And probably the supply of those cards in MTGO is lower.
