Yep, Exarch survives Bolt, so t4 win. __________________ NEQUAQUAM VACUUM If you list one of your interests as M:tG you send first. Give me your Sleight of Minds M:tG set printing and spreadsheet utility

Nor does it survive Geth's Verdict or Dismember - which are in the same set oddly enough (Hmmmm...)

Didn't know the Exarch had flash. Someone stupid is going to get punked on turn 3 when it locks them out of their only answer end of turn. __________________ Most References in Massachusetts 85th All-timeSupport my friend's store: http://www.tabletoparena.com

So my lack of standard knowledge will surely show but concluded that it doesn't survive:- a long list of black cards - a kicked spell that costs 5 - double Bolt/Burst/Trail So I guess we shall conclude that in a heavy BR meta (Vampires/Boros), people aren't going to pay $6+ a pop to try it out.

I'm guessing Grixis control for a deck that goes for it. Or just random R/U controlSpell Peirce, Mana Leak, Lightning Bolt, Geth's Verdict, Dismember, Duress, Despise, the combo, Slagstorm, Preordain. etc...

It will likely be U/R, Burn/Counters + Combo, maybe a alternate finisher depending on what M12 brings us..__________________ I shall have the souls of all who defy me. "Lord Crovax"

I had to laugh when I looked on Ebay and saw people trying to sell off playsets of Splinter Twin for $80 BIN. EDIT: oops...sorry that was for foil. Still, $40 for a regular playset. That's just absurd.

I have one in my cube, I think its the only non-english card left. I want rid of it for an english foil. __________________ Member Since 03/28/2001 10000+ posts 3rd in posts in Ontario 15th in posts on MOTL Top 5 in Refs in Ontario (by people who location posted)

I'd take it off your hands, but I don't have an english foil version of it.

The combo isn't as vulnerable as some of you might think cause all you need to do is protect the creature till the enchantment gets on it after it's summoning sickness is gone. Afterwards, there's almost nothing that can be done about it. You can wait until end of turn to make the tokens or if your opponent kills it, you can in response make a million tokens without having to sac them at the end of turn because the enchantment is in the graveyard. But I do have to fear mass removals like the zenith or ratchet bombs.

Incorrect. From the rulings in gatherer about splinter twin: 6/15/2010 The token is exiled at the beginning of the next end step regardless of who controls it at that time, or whether Splinter Twin or the enchanted creature is still on the battlefield at that time. __________________ "He fights you not because you have wronged him, but because you are there."[16:17] <@BrassMan> what do you need new tech for? Also incorrect. That damage or kill spell you've been holding can be used with any of the activated abilities on the stack, assuming it's an instant. The combo is almost just as vulnerable post-Splinter Twin as it is before. Post-Splinter Twin, it can replace itself. __________________ *MafiaBass*Joshweek*Letter Bombs!*Logout Mottle Salvation- a new place to play Mafia and WW

Just got that from FB of Jesper Myrfors:"Recently I painted a reinterpretation of one of my early magic paintings and I received a response that I didn’t expect. Apparently a person was interested in buying the illustration but was concerned that I could paint another like it and thereby decrease the value of their “Investment”." Some people really need to get their mouths washed out with soap more often... __________________ Collecting signed cards. Wow, that is incredibly disrespectful.Edit: Zenith and Ratchet bomb is pretty much what you don't need to be scared of (unless it is already set at 3). Anything sorcery speed really doesn't matter, since you'll probably be flashing deceiver exarch eot and then playing splinter twin and immediately makin a ton of dudes
