I disagree totally. It is much much better than a bad lava ax. 1st, lava ax is more than fine in the agressive red decks. 2nd fireball can kill multiple creatures and can end the game that has an aggressive start, which red has. I am not arguing that mind control is a better/worse card then fireball, I am arguing that in m12, fireball is better.

Fireball does one less damage for 5 mana than a Lava Axe does, but the good things about the Axe sorta stop there, no?

I disagree here. He said in the hyper aggressive Bloodthirst decks, where you are not casting fireball for more than 5-6 mana. And he said worse than lava axe HALF the time. So whatever. Also, I still think Mind Control is better in M12.

Wow! I want that. Last time I tried to download that game, it wouldn't run on anything newer than windows 5 or something. I remember I used to cheat so much on that game. I would repeatedly animate dead a tempest efreet and the game would glitch. I'd get my ante at the end of the game in random amounts, sometimes even cards that weren't in their ante at the time. Like 70 forests and 120 Moats. Sell them all off for gold and do it again. Every game! There were lots of exploits, like creatures with trample and spirit link on them would gain strange amounts of life equal to the creatures power + the damage that went through. So like 5/5 trample + spirit link gets blocked by 1/1 and you gain 9 life. Weird. I would love to play the game again, especially with new cards.

In the R/X bloodthirst decks fireball is kinda awkward, it's undoubtedly powerful but you need 6 mana to kill two bears, which while still good isn't that great for a deck that wants to remove those bears early to continue to force through damage. The 3 main uses of fireball are: 1: Kill them, Lava Axe is better `til you hit 7 mana. This doesn't happen a lot in your 16/17 land no mana accelerators deck. 2 Kill a guy, the common removal is better at this `til you hit 6 mana. 3 Kill 2 guys, you need 6 mana and that's just to kill two x/2s. This is the only function that is better than any number of common cards. The Ill targeting thing is much less relevant because the only common one is a 2/2.

nice win on that auction~ the seller should of done a better job of stating they were actually 80 lands in the auction.

You think the guy's legit? He's sold 3 other sets of lands, and he has 8 foil Jaces for sale and claims to have sold another dozen or so. Did you check his feedback and see his recent negative? Get ready to file a paypal claim, and make sure to leave negative feedback.__________________ Looking for misprinted Commander decks. Got one? Talk to me.

Yes, I checked his refs. The 1 negative he has is from not shipping a playset of Goys and he issued a refund on the item.***pauses to review sellers feedback score again*** WOW... I JUST checked AGAIN after writing that above paragraph... looks like he JUST got another NEG in literally the past 1hr . LOL that WAS NOT THERE when I went and checked before bidding! Now I'm a little worried, but it seems like most of his negs are from selling items that are not "worth the amount he described", and at least he has been issuing refunds. That's SOMETHIG I guess. I wouldn;t have bought if it weren't for PayPal protection! Besides, If he DOES have the cards, this will be an awesome deal!

Seller seems to be the type I would avoid like the plague. Most of those neutrals should probably be negs. Most of the time, they would be...not sure how he's avoiding them. __________________ Wisconsin - smells like dairy air!

Because buyers are stupid and don't realize that this is exactly the situation that calls for negative feedback, and that the seller can't leave retaliatory feedback anymore. __________________ Looking for misprinted Commander decks. Got one? Talk to me.

EUGH.His number 1 buyer (Member id = fmco16) also seems to exist solely for the purpose of padding his "stats" with positives... It looks like it USED to be a valid account, but now all his purchases are from the same seller :S. BLAH!! 2 weeks until I file a claim as well I guess. I thought no one knew what the auction was actually FOR because of his terrible auction title and the fact that it was a 1-day. Lol, live and learn! I'll keep you all updated, because I'm sure NOW you all want to know the epic conclusion!! (Hope those other guys get their FOIL JACES as well! YIKES!)

Most of his sales are for .99 auctions. Then he sells foil Jace TMSs and Tarmos and they never show up. I'd say he doesn't have the stuff he is selling. He just has no history of delivering high end Magic cards.

psilence, hope you get those lands but more than likely you will be filing a claim with paypal and leaving a negative :/. The guy's history is indeed dubious at best.I got to play one game of EDH last night. This does not fulfill my desire to play, I need to find a better/more convenient place to play.

Keep in mind games with more than 3 players tend to be LONG.

Yeah buddy. Nothing like spending 2-4 hours on one game.

well 4 players is what we find perfect. 3 players tends to be a 2 on 1, where 4 players can balance itself a little better and make multiplayer cards better (siphon mind, etc). 5 players has always been too long for us so we only really do it if there are exactly 5 people that want to play and even then sometimes someone will just sit out.

I do find four player FFA to be about the best when it comes to EDH. Above that, and I prefer variant formats to speed it up a little. If we ever have more than six, we just split it into two tables. __________________ Wisconsin - smells like dairy air!

One of the local kids was jokingly considering a chess clock for some players in large EDH games. I'd fully endorse that.__________________ Most References in Massachusetts 85th All-timeSupport my friend's store: http://www.tabletoparena.com
