im gonna be playing in a standard tourney saturday. looks like ill be playing a budget version of(ugh) red deck wins. what does it do well against and what decks melt its face off?__________________

It's not doing well against much right now as a non-budget version, so you may be in trouble. I'm not sure of your meta, but white is going to hose you big time w/ main deck Firewalkers and reinforcements.

Well WoTC gave out a Free Alpha Pack, a Arabian Nights Pack, a Itl Legends Box, and a piece of art from the new set.They also all but confirmed Modern as a legit format for Paper Magic, looks like our Supposed over-ext is finally here.... Lets see the price raises begin..weee __________________

Dif person each item, one item of each. Alpha pack had Island as rare, Arabian Nights pack had Library of Alexandria, nothing was said of the Box. __________________

Yes, in alpha/beta, to keep the players guessing as to what was rare, an Island was placed in one of the rare slots. Unlucky guy....

Doing my first M11 draft in a long time.4th, 5th, 6th picks I'm seeing Lightning Bolts, Aether Adepts, Pacifisms, Sleep, all kinds of stuff. Whats going on? Then first match, dude plays Pyretic Ritual to put a Volcanic Strength on a Roc Egg. It went downhill from there. Next dude was probably worse (cast 3 Golden Glow moths on one turn). Well we were all new once, hope they had fun and learned something.

I've never heard that this was done on purpose. I always understood it to be a mistake. Anyone have any more info on this?

the jankiest jank that ever janked got me 3-2 and top 8 in a 19 person tourney. three packs and 6 random foils. opened a gideon, traded it for bulk and packs. got nothing. meh..also, act of treason + fling = __________________
