So I bought the Vampire Onslaught event deck and I must say, it was very fun to play. I wound up taking 2x Swamps out and playing 2x Skinrender after I was mana flooded game 1. Blade of the Bloodchief was a HOUSE! So much synergy in the deck.~MM __________________ I am MeddlingMage...YOUR Motl Survivor 11 Champion, 2007 Captain N award winner, 2010 Marlboro award winner, and 2011 Champion Tournament Pick'em MOTL NCAA Bracket Challenge winner!CM Punk "OMG Kevin Nash WTF, thought he was dead, LOL" New keeper of the Logout button

Holy crap. Just discovered that four of my dual lands are UNL! It's been so long that I'd completely forgotten. Question: I have two Tropical Islands that seem questionable. I'm pretty sure they're RV, but it looks like only the left side has the double bevel (with the innermost edge being kinda blue). Is that normal for RV? I suppose I could send scans via email at some point tonight or tomorrow if necessary.

Post a picture, but it shouldn't be too hard to tell RV from UNL

A friend of mine just pointed this out, but if you look at this image...http://media.wizards.com/images/magic/daily/features/feature159_olivia.jpg She's got what looks like her left leg up and her hand on top of her knee. Then there's 2 feet at the bottom. I think she's pitchin' a tent, and is actually just a "transformed" dude.

I'm a champ at getting no land hands, mulling into 2 lands plus something like a cycler, and then never seeing a third land. At least this happens most often in the finals of a tourney, so I really only "lose" by getting the 2nd place prize. Incidentally, can I use Hex Parasite to make cumulative upkeep 'Free' by eating age counters?

At least it happens to you in the third round, I normally have it happen in the first.

702.21a. Cumulative upkeep is a triggered ability that imposes an increasing cost on a permanent. “Cumulative upkeep [cost]” means “At the beginning of your upkeep, put an age counter on this permanent. Then you may pay [cost] for each age counter on it. If you don’t, sacrifice it.” If [cost] has choices associated with it, each choice is made separately for each age counter, then either the entire set of costs is paid, or none of them is paid. Partial payments aren’t allowed.
the answer is sort of. You can eat the counter every turn but you have to pay for whatever the cumulative upkeep is as the cumulative upkeep adding a counter then asking you to pay is all one ability.

You're essentially reseting the cumu upkeep back to 1, every time you do it.

Not working for me right now, but I like the idea. I hated paying for a big tournament and then needing to drop at x-2 because I didn't want my rating to tank. At least now, I can stay in as long as I want. __________________ Wisconsin - smells like dairy air!I collect Granite Gargoyles. Send them my way.
