The thing is that it isn't REALLY a 3 card combo. All you need is Hive Mind and a pact. Show and Tell can just be seen as a really good ritual which protects your Hive Mind from countermagic. It's not often that a piece of the combo doubles as protection (Pact of Negation). While it's nice to label Hive Mind as an 3 card combo and leave it at that, you have to realize that the actual case is far more fluid (you can hardcast Hive Mind or Show and Tell it in or Show and Tell in Emrakul or use Pact of Negations to protect the combo). Usually, it's rare for you to not draw into one of your 10+ pacts. I guess the tl;dr is that: Yeah, it seems like a 3 card combo, but it's an effective 3 card combo in legacy.

I don't think that one sentence comports with the rest of his post. He says SCG would sell it at 14k minimum, but he wants 10.5k for it. That's not 85-90%.

Apparently "use your brain" is good advice only for the average idiot. Your "common sense" doesn't explain why delusion and donate, a 2 card combo, isnt viable anymore. Please master, tell us more about your "common sense"

If I actually have to clarify more: The statement that "I am expecting 85-90% of SCG" does not comport with his later statements that SCG would sell the collection at 14k+ combined with his asking price of $10,500. $10,500 (what he wants for the collection) is not 85-90% of $14,000 (what he says SCG would sell it at). So yes, the sentence you quoted is in his sale post, but again, it's not actually what he's asking for.

Better yet: Animate Dead + Kederekt Leviathan + Treacherous Urge. It's a bit difficult to pull off but it solves the problem of enormous fatties that you can't target/are indestructible quite well.
