From the Twitter buzz going around, 12post is pushing up prices on Amulet of Vigor as well.__________________ The only thing necessary for evil to triumph, is for good men to do nothing.

Ok, I may be losing it, but did someone discuss using cloudstone curio in modern combo elves, and if so, can someone explain the combo to me because my brain refuses to see it.

Return an elf, play the elf untap those Nettle Sentinel, tap them for more mana. Repeat? Edit:
https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/ccc?key=0AlHIOoL0opWbdGJHSno3QnhaMUJ6UVdHSExOeENtNEE&hl=en_US Started putting my EDH decks in google docs as well. Was able to nicely parse those links in linux so i didn't have to copy/paste so much. __________________ Member Since 03/28/2001 10000+ posts 3rd in posts in Ontario 15th in posts on MOTL Top 5 in Refs in Ontario (by people who location posted)

tiny scratches. If you store them w/o sleeves it will happen fast. If you keep them sleeved they'll rub against the sleeve and any dirt that may get in. Best solution I've found is to double sleeve. It certainly makes the cards less then NM, but foils are hard to grade correctly so I typically just take some pics/scans.

Requires a Heritage Druid, Nettle Sentinel, and another 1-mana elf. Play Nettle Sentinel. Play Heritage Druid. Play Llanowar Elves. Put Cloudstone trigger on the stack, respond by tapping the three for 3 mana, return Heritage. Play Heritage, untapping Nettle and returning Llanowar. Play Llanowar, respond to Cloudstone by tapping for mana then returning Heritage Druid. Each iteration nets +1 mana. Hopefully by then you either have an Elvish Visionary or Chord/Zenith/Pact for Regal Force to start drawing things to do with your mana. __________________ The only thing necessary for evil to triumph, is for good men to do nothing.

I pulled some alpha cards out of penny sleeves today that had not been touched for a few years and there was the opposite effect, the sleeves are foggy. For foils though it may be that there is some form of acid/PVC, if the company producing them is putting out low quality the sleeves could be affecting them. In most cases constant shuffling, moisture, and friction is enough to put the foil layer in a state where it would become less resilient to deterioration. There's definitely other factors involved in causing this other than the general aging of the product.

"Have commons, want chase rares" good luck trading! I've been doing okay trading locally though. It can be frustrating when people all use different prices though. Apparently arid mesas are $15 and phantasmal images are $3. So hard to deal w/ some of their prices, but I do have a small growing stack of phantasmal images.

What's up with all these online shops coming to MOTL and buying stuff up with their official name?First it was Channelfireball, now it's Troll and Toad? What's next? BEN SCG?

why wouldn't they use their name? That way you know who you're dealing with at least. Also, isn't Conan troll and toad's buyer? Hes been around here forever.

The thing is, if people are interested in your blog, they will visit. Those who aren't interested don't particularly care to see it linked to all of the time. Posting here to tell us about it every time you post there isn't really any different than spamming.

Why not? For the store, people generally list stuff here for eBay/slightly lower than eBay prices (at least, if they want their cards to sell). So, the store can come here and pick up almost anything they want at those prices, without having to wait for auctions to end on eBay or people to come to their buylist to sell to them. For sellers here, it's also a great thing. I'm not about to wade through a store's massive buylist, where they list every single card ever printed (or require searching one by one) with 90% of the cards they are "buying" are for 66% of what the card's worth. It saves me the effort when they come here and post on my list telling me what they want to buy at prices agreeable to both of us. And yes, as caquaa said, of course they'd use their store name.

SCG had trade and buylist here 1 year ago :PEDIT: Right before zendikar was released, they hoarded the "treasures" from here I think.

I think it's awesome. One of the reasons why I didn't deal with some of them is because you had to do it on their terms if you worked through the site. Now they're coming to me (as a seller), and working on general MOTL terms. It's just cool that I don't even have to do anything different, and am able to sell to them.

I don't suppose there's a quick and easy way to have your MTG collection evaluated online (short of asking in the the T/V forum), is there?__________________ "I have heard the mermaids singing, each to each.
