wondering if i should buy another box of zendikar, only got 2 sac lands and iona really in my prev box. I really want a playset of saclands! Also finding it a lot harder to trade on here these days. Is it because it's more expensive to send internationally or is my collection sufficiently dated? Or is it too soon after Innistrad has come out and now that is the main thing everyone is chasing

In a zen box, youll get around 31 rares and 5 mythics. There are 55 rares in zen. So you'll get around 3 fetchlands per box, plus a pile of junk. Do you like paying $30 per fetchland? __________________ "He fights you not because you have wronged him, but because you are there."[16:17] <@BrassMan> what do you need new tech for? Because buying boxes is clearly more efficient than buying singles, you might as well order a case to insure that you get a playset of each fetch, right?

Why are you buying boxes for specific cards. Also, I looked at your H/W list, there doesn't seem to be anything really worth much in there to begin with. If you're looking at <$10 trades it doesn't make a lot of sense to trade internationally, with the extra time, cost of postage and slightly higher chance of stuff getting lost. I think trading on here has generally just slowed down too, though.

As someone who only came back recently, it does feel much harder to get trades as an international trader.

I totally should have offered the Liliana straight up for a misty rainforest. I need to spend the upcoming week repenting

I want to organize a 1K tournament at the LGS, what's the best way to promote it for people further away (cities nearby)? Thanks! P.S. we are currently 27 players for the 1K but we need to be 36 minimum so it's not so bad

People lump Canada in with the rest of the world and try to overcharge on shipping as a result. This is rampant on ebay, which just means they don't get my business. I'll never understand why the "free shipping" ebay sellers won't at least give a discount equal to the costs they are eating mailing for free.

Sorry, but from a US trader standpoint, there is no way I can track a package in an international deal (Canada included) unless I use registered mail, which pretty much cost the same for every countries. Without tracking, the seller would be responsible for lost mail, so that's why they pass it onto you.

Registered is significantly cheaper in some countries, which is why I order a lot more cards from Singapore, China and Japan than I do from the US. Also, that doesn't explain why US sellers offer free US shipping but demand the full price from me (instead of the cost minus the price they are otherwise eating by selling lower).

Again, for AMERICAN seller, the registered international mail cost is the same for pretty much every countries ($14-15 for the fees). Trust me, if there was a cheaper way, I would love to do it, but I'm stuck with how the US postal system operate.

That sucks, that happend with my box to...no Snapcaster, 8 mythics, but only one of note was Garruk, rest of box was trash save 3 tap duals.... Inistrad seems very hit and miss, you can hit jackpot or walk away with nothing :P EDIT: Side note, Two Foil Liliana of the Viel now Yay.. __________________ I shall have the souls of all who defy me. This. Registered shipping from the U.S. to any international destination is $11.50 fee on top of the package cost (assuming there are no additional costs for insurance and what not). Shipping for packages internationally is around $1.72 or $2.58 to start, and this may depend on weight and location and so on. This means it can run anywhere from $13 to $14 just for 1-4 cards, assuming 1-2 toploaders max and very little else in the envelope. Right now I charge around $2 domestic/$3 international/$13 registered. When I was offering free shipping it would be free/$1 international/$13 registered. I charge closer to full for registered shipping because it requires me to fill out more forms and mail through the counter at the local post office. I can't just print a shipping label off of eBay and give it to my mail carrier, which I can do for domestic shipping and non-registered international shipping. Also, given issues I have sending to some places I would also not mind charging a bit more to offset some of the "lost mail" costs of business... some guy from South Korea claimed he never received and I have to work with some guy from Brazil right now too. If they just keep claiming they didn't receive I'll have to refund them the money. I haven't actually done that yet (jack up costs to make up for these additional business costs), but if it gets to that point, I might so I can continue shipping internationally without requiring registered for ALL purchases (and not just ones over a certain amount that I feel unsafe sending without). Random side note: Canada is the only country that I've found I can actually track registered mail up to delivery from USPS website; for every other country, the USPS tracking ends when it leaves the US.

What format is it? If it's Legacy, you can advertise on MTG The Source. As for other formats, Vintage has The Mana Drain and for every format you can advertise on MTGS, here, and any other MTG forum. The most trafficked ones that I know of are the Wizards.com forum and MTGS.

There is a place doing one around here that is about 3 hours away from where I live. They contacted every local shop withing whatever distance and emailed them a flier to post. They are running qualifier tournaments for byes and such too at the local shops. Not sure how many people are going to show since when I went to Portland no one knew about it.

This right here is scaring the crap out of me. Basically, I'm about to change my rules for international buyers (except for Canada of course), unless I can trust you (MTDetermine comes to mind).

track-trace.com you have to use the country's site that the registered package goes to for tracking it outside the US. The site above links it all together and if necessary it will allow you to go to the other country's web site. Only time i tried using it for a registered package it wasn't working, but it was Italy. Maybe trying it for some country that has a better postal system is best.

I didn't mean to imply that other countries were untrackable completely, just not through USPS website. You could still use the other country's post office, or I guess track-trace.com (I've never used it so I'd take caqaa's word for it) or contact USPS by email/phone if a problem did come up. So no need to change your rules just yet.

Maybe that is just the website, I am sure that if you go down to the Post Office, they will be able to contact the other country's Post Office to track it. At least that is how it works over here.

@AlmostGrown:Standard since 90% of the players (especially the 28 new ones hehe) are standard players. I'll try MTGS, here and Wizard. @caquaa: We have 80 seats but can buy more chairs if the event gathers more. We even have a lounge with a couch But the thing is, other stores hates us because we sell for less (lower than SCG prices and the other stores sells at SCG + 1$ -_-) + have a buy list, so drafters can draft sometimes more than once for 14$ just by selleing back their unwanted rares/foils/uncommons, so they won't help us :/
