This revised starter "probably does contain several dual lands." I base this on absolutely nothing! You're about the find out. I doubt the buyer is factoring in the seller's BS in his bid price. Obviously the value is in the sealed package anyway, since opening it will not be worth it moneywise.

At the beginning of the year, you could USPS a bubble envelope for $1.22. Now it's at least $1.71. With another rate hike proposed for early 2012, how does this affect your trading?

Maybe if you Americans stopped voting against tax hikes needed to keep essential services running? Otherwise I'm sure the mail is going to continue to increase in cost far above that of inflation.

Is everything just going to be a bash America topic? Taxes don't fund the postal service, postage does. That is why tax hikes wouldn't help USPS directly.

Tax hikes would help the USPS keep rates down. No hikes, no subsidy, prices go up because of mounting pension obligations and the fact that letters to the countryside cost the same as to your next-door neighbour (you subsidize mail to middle-of-nowhere, Iowa, every time you post a letter). It's even worse in Canada. But hey, our postal system is rather more solvent.

Are you talking about tax hikes? or hikes in the rate of postage? They are two very different things.Tax hikes would not help USPS b/c they operate on postage. Rate hikes would help USPS, but only affects postage not taxes. And...

I don't know why you assumed that I'm naturally against the rise in the rate of postage. I'm all for it if it means USPS keeps running. And...

I know this already. But thank you for assuming that I don't and for enlightening people how don't. It's obvious FedEx couldn't survive if they only charged $0.44 at a time.

Shh!!! Don't tell him my secrets Anyway, the increase in postage will not affect that much. Most of my deals on MOTL nowadays are small anyway, where I would just have sent regular mail. And as for selling cards, I made the adjustment of charging from $2.25 to $2.75 for bubble mailer with DC, so I will do so again if the price rises.

No, no they would not. The post office very specifically does NOT use any tax money to operate their services. __________________ There's no need to fear, UNDERDOG is here! All your Gruul Nodorogs are belong to me. Trade them to me, please! Report rules violations. Remember the Auctions Board!

The USPS is a non profit organization iirc. Gas prices & maintence on the vehicles drives up the postage rates. __________________ Your 2008 and 2010 Motl Siskel & Ebert award winner! I'm available for all your third party needs. Email me if interested in a 3rd party transaction.

Magic Online should not have a concede match option! I started two or three days ago and have conceded 3 matches when I was just trying to concede the game. It is a lot of fun and I can already tell that I am going to spend way to much money on it, but right now the interface is incredibly frustrating. A lot of times I feel that I am losing to the interface and not the actual player. Things happen to me on Magic Online that would never happen irl

Close. The USPS actually makes more than enough money off current postage rates to fully fund its operations. The problem comes from federally mandated pension payments they have to make. Essentially, they spend billions of dollars making pension payments for employees they haven't even hired yet.

Thats what I'm trying to say: The USPS would be best served with some tax money. It's a whole lot more useful than random wars in the middle east.

Man, what were the criteria used to determine some of the cards on the reserved list?I mean, as much as I value my Weatherseed Treefolk, I don't know if I would have been upset if they reprinted it.
