Well, I started off 5-1 in the PTQ and then promptly lost 2 of the next 3 to get bumped out of any prizes. First time with Innistrad and it was pretty fun all around. I think I played fairly well and I don't know how I could have played any differently to win the matches that I lost. Since I edited it back into my original post, it might have gotten skipped over so does anyone have any thoughts on my pool?In the end I lost one match in Game 3 to massive mana flood (had 4 lands in the opener and drew 8 more out of the next 9 draws) and it doesn't help that he went Turn 3 Forbidden Alchemy, Turn 4 Flashback Unburial Rites on Skaab Ruinator. The other one was a Turn 1 Blazing Torch and a Turn 3 Daybreak Ranger that went active after his Turn 4. He just ate up by board and beat face. __________________ PMs don't work in Chrome or Firefox 4.0+, see HERE for work arounds.

Mine usually isn't either. My best pull was a FOIL Yawgmoth's Bargain back in the day. Also had a string of hitting a ton of Shocklands back in Ravnica. Literally had a run where I hit 11 shocks in 16 packs. I was stoked. __________________ -Schmitty 5th in Refs [207] in OH-IO (25 behind helper monkey) 2nd in Posts [6224] in OH-IO (only 1800 behind Val) “If Brad Stevens is the future of coaching in college basketball, the sport is in a good place.” - Rick Pitino

For those that missed the announcement: http://www.wizards.com/Magic/TCG/Events.aspx?x=events/magic/worldsLooks like San Francisco will be going crazy with 5 days of Magic. Will be my first worlds and I was wondering if someone could clear some things up for me: The event Sunday ( http://www.wizards.com/Magic/TCG/Events.aspx?x=events/magic/worlds11-public ) is actually the championship? As in invitational or is that open to anyone? Its the only big legacy event. And there are dealers on hand correct?

My best pull was a Foil Urborg and a Extirpate in one pack. It was awesome.

Planar Chaos was always a fun one. I've pulled quite a few Imperial Seals. And dozens of Recruiters.

My luck with packs is streaky. I'll pull crap for a couple of sets, and hit the money cards for a set or two. My best pulls were a Morphling and Tolarian Acadamy in the same Saga tourney pack about 7 years ago, and out of 6 Stronghold packs I bought at about the same time as the Saga tourney pack I opened a Mox Diamond and a Sliver Queen. The strange thing about the Stronghold packs was that I didn't open any rares or foils.

There were no foils back in Stronghold. The first set with foils was Urza's Legacy.

Old joke from some guy who complained his Stronghold Box was missin rares and foils :P Ok, question where, how, and how much would Japanese, Russian, and/or Korean Box/Case be? Been awhile since I've looked for Sealed Boxes, looking for Inisistrad mostly... __________________ I shall have the souls of all who defy me. "Lord Crovax"

I'm looking to pick up 12-18 matching beta basics to use when I draft. Does anyone know of a good place to pick them up at some sort of bulk deal?

Ahh I see... I took a 6-yr hiatus from MOTL and didn't return until 2009. Hehe, it was funny reading that post.

Stores are the most likely to have large quantities of beta basics they are willing to sell. Try here, or buy them individually.

So I've decided to start collecting foils of cards I really like. Is there a general ratio of how rare a certain foil is? Also, is there any way to guess at the potential supply of a certain foil?

This is a funny rule from someones list, beware of the shady site you all use:1) Unless you have more refs, I will want you to send first. As useful as this site is, it is a fairly shady place and I am a cautious person.

I'm tired of people quoting ApathyHouse prices for my scars dual lands. Razorverge Thicket hasn't been ~$2 for a month or two now...
