Shrug, I saw that sale. If he can confirm his identity on MTGS, I have no problem paying first to someone with 64+ iTrader there. As much as people here don't like counting refs on other sites (and as much as everyone bashes MTGSalvation), I've bought and sold cards on both sites long enough to know that the sales lot there is as legitimate as the TA/S forum here is. I guess he's limiting his potential buyes by alienating all the hardcore MOTLers but oh well, I'm sure he can make enough sales to eventually boost his refs to where people here will send first to him (assuming his prices are competitive anyway).

If they've agreed, its supposed to be via paypal, and you haven't heard back from them; I'd say a week would be appropriate. Similar to the "sending late" thing. I just try to include a statement in my email that I expect payment within 24 or 48 hours (depending on my mood) and if I don't hear back within that time frame I send an email saying the deal is off and I'll relist the cards. Its worked okay for me. Half the time i get an email saying they'll pay asap, the other half I never hear back from again.

So if I do hear back from them and they no longer want it, I can BTA them, right? And if I never hear from them again I obviously BTA them.

If you're feeling vindictive. As long as they did e-mail you back saying something along the lines of "yes, I'll take these cards and will have payment sent as soon as possible, here is my shipping info," you probably have a case. If all that happened was you sent them an invoice based on their post and they just never got back to you, chances are that BTA will be tossed pretty fast. __________________ Wisconsin - smells like dairy air!I collect Granite Gargoyles. Hmmm, Savannahs are sold out at SCG and CFB, is there some reason for that?

Seems like a good enough reason to me :P. Though I know that's not the reason you are looking for. Maybe some new Legacy deck?

So, how about this controversey on the GP Indy playmat? I don't have the link readily available at work, but it's getting a lot of backlash. Even worse is the backlash to the backlash, with alot of personal attacks on women who are opposed to it in any way.__________________ MOTL's Most Likely to Play in the Pro Tour - 2007, 2008, and 2009 (My 2008 Nationals) The Official Tower Magic Facebook Page

Heres a link tot eh top 20 tweets of playmatgate. http://legitmtg.com/culture/20-tweets-sex-slave-playmat-controversy/ Some good ones in there, believe first one if from the lady who runs mtgmom. As for the controversy, that playmat is way over the top. But it was indeed pulled from being an official handout.

Yes, that indeed is Megan who is the MTGMom. The thing you don't see here is that Megan has been personally attacked because she had a problem with the playmat. __________________ MOTL's Most Likely to Play in the Pro Tour - 2007, 2008, and 2009 (My 2008 Nationals) The Official Tower Magic Facebook Page

Sucks for her but also part of a being a public figure and putting your opinions out there.

After some of the recent grand prix mats that have been horrible (like Pittsburgh) this particular one is awesome! It stinks if they're not going to hand it out now. Some people take this stuff too seriously

Seriously? You really think that someone telling her that "any female that is offended by this picture is insecure with herself and needs to look within for answers on how to deal with stuff like this" is appropriate? Public figure or not, that's a load of crap. __________________ MOTL's Most Likely to Play in the Pro Tour - 2007, 2008, and 2009 (My 2008 Nationals) The Official Tower Magic Facebook Page

It's not the first of many horribly misogynistic/exploitative products marketed to mtg players and it probably will not be the last. I personally find it offensive and I think it’s unfortunate that the market exists to even make producing stuff like this worthwhile. I would be terribly embarrassed to use something like this in public and I would politely ask any opponent using something like this to turn it over. I do realize there are far too many mtg players who see stuff like this, scream "BOOBIES!!!" and then pull out their wallets. Many of those are the same guys who whine about how no women play magic or girls look down on them for their hobby. It's stuff like this that steers women away from magic, because it shows women as nothing more than subservient sex workers catering to their master. There’s a tremendous difference between tasteful fantasy art and stuff like this. People have the right to produce art like it and consumers will vote with their dollars, but I think wotc made the right decision in asking the TO to pull this from an officially sanctioned event. It likely would have been a PR nightmare if this were allowed to stand.
