I can see Mortars working pretty well as a poor man's bonfire.I can't think of that many 5+ toughness creatures that'll be played post-rotation (with the possible exception of armada wurm, despite its poor colors). __________________ It is a known fact that more Americans watch the television than any other appliance.

Why does Armada Wurm look like a *****? ...for that matter they knew what they were doing having this create two of them. Then, when the observation is made, we can use the plural peni... pronounced 'peen - eye'On a not so inappropriate note, Trostani sounds like a pasta, not a mythical character. Hope this enriches the discussion! __________________ Starting the bulk rare collection all over! Send them my way!

in some cases this is sort of fine such as karakas pre judge promo. Case by case I suppose, but generally not the best idea if you're trying to move cards.

the things that are priced to move just go so quickly it warps peoples view of the t&s forum. when i want something to move, i discount it. if someone doesn't care or need the cash, they just put it out there at a premium in case someone bites. if there's a sucker born every minute, at least a few must end up on this website.

And then there are people like me who price things and don't update prices until there is a new post to make. __________________ Member Since 03/28/2001 12000+ posts 1st in posts in Ontario 2nd in posts in Canada 10th in posts on MOTL 5th in Refs in Ontario Pushing to get to top 100 in MOTL Refs

Looked at a "collection" today on Craigs list. $150 Hightlights are 2 Teferi and a magus of the moat...... The guy had the balls to act ****ed when I told him I'd pass. He said he would just hold onto them for 15 years and sell them then.....

I've tried to buy some stuff from people through craigslist. This one guy had about 200+ crap rares from odyssey, torment, etc and he wanted $2.00 for each rare of the lot, stating some were worth more and some less but taht would be a good standard ot go by. I told him prices didn't work the way they used to back then, and crap rares sell for quarters. I still offered to buy only some cards, but in the end he said he knew they were worth more, and decided to keep them.

People selling small collections on craiglist (Kijiji) are usually idiots, if they count out how many cards are in the collection down to the 1's place that's a good indicator NOT to even bother.I have picked up a few BIG collectios off Kijiji and made great profit very quickly, sometimes I still get temped to check out the guy that says he has 250+ Magic Cards for sale and usually it's a fool wasting both our time trying to sell stuff that shouldbe thrown out.

I take the time to check most of them out that are nearby. I had one guy wanting $800 for one collection. When I showed up someone else was looking thru them and bought a small stack for $100. I talked the guy down after that and got 6,000 cards for $175. Picked everything worth 25 cents or more and sold the chaff to someone else for $100! Still banking off those same cards.

Yeah, it's really nice when you buy a collection, pick out what you want, then sell the rest as a lot for MORE than you paid. Those are good days . They only happen a couple times a year though.

Yeah, especially since you can't combine shipping.

Standstill is the promo card this month for Magic: the Gathering Spell Thief! Easily the best card they've printed for a promo so far.Edit: and on top of that, the artwork is pretty cool. It shows Sorin Markov threatening Dack Fayden.
