You'd be able to play them. It's not a "lock" in the strictest sense, but most decks would be unlikely to have a way out.

Thanks. I always thought it completely shuts down a player from playing anything. __________________ (╯°□°)╯︵ ┻━┻"The enemy has been destroyed, sir. So have the forest, the city, your palace, your dog . . ." —Keldon soldier

ok so my birthday is coming up in july.i also found out that another guy i play magic with has a bday in july 1 day ahead of mine. i mentioned to the local shop owner we should do a magic themed bday bash for both of us at the shop. he seemed to be ok with the idea. tho we didnt really talk about any real details yet. so any of you wanna help me come up with some sweet ideas? since there are 2 of us celebrating.. 2 headed giant came up. tho we might not even play magic, we might just stick to the party. if we do go through with it, we will likely have a few non magic playing guests as well. so non magic ideas are welcome too. so far the only idea i had was instead of 1 or 2 large cakes.. 5 smaller circle cakes 1 for each color with a mana symbol drawn on.

I'm pretty sure that the people on Salvation whom use the term interactive while complaining about any aspect of the game, are the last people you would want to actually interact with.

MiniMaster/PackWars is a fun way to have simple/casual interaction. and it almsot like party favors. Find a buch of random packs, even old ones, put them in a bag and people can pull from it what pack they get to pack war/minimaster with.

One doesn't exclude the other. on subject, I hope Wizards comes with more (better) goodies/themes than Slivers in M14. I don't dislike slivers (although it reminds me of Legions which was, IMO, the worst set ever). I prefer it when they don't to themes at all in Standard sets, but that's just me.

I'm building a Doran deck with tarmogoyf in it.Question: Would having deathrite shaman make too much of a conflict to have him and tarmo in the same deck? or would it be fine? I'm considering having 4x BoPs instead. Gives me any color consistently. any advise? ~Myy

1) Deathrite Shaman>>>>>>>>>>>Birds of Paradise (in Legacy and Modern) 2) Legacy BUG decks run both Goyf and DRS and have no problems. I played BUG Delver at GP Denver (legacy) and there was zero conflict.

DRS and Goyf don't really conflict; just remove instants and sorceries until there's one copy left in either your graveyard or hers. Same for creatures.
In principle it conflicts a little more with Ooze, but in practice it's not a big deal; either it acts as extra grave hate, or you stick to removing creatures with Ooze (unless you're desperate for life) and instants/sorceries with DRS. __________________ "I have heard the mermaids singing, each to each. Not noticing anything obvious. What is it that you're seeing? The only thing I see is there is some minimal amount of play wear and obvious this card would never see play ;p

Aren't you the expert on Deathlace? Were you thinking rounded Beta? That crossed my mind, but the seller seems reputable. __________________ *My LJ*Letter Bombs!*FB*Logout- MM is a copycat! (So am I)*CKGB

Yes Josh that bottom left corner seems funny to me. I happen to have a few to compare it to and that's why it seemed off.

Well I know I'm not the only deathlace enthusiast out there and the fact that no one else bit on this really makes me wonder if its a beta.

You're the only Deathlace enthusiast I know, so if you think it's off, avoid it. If nothing else, he may relist it as lower price. It could be worth a gamble if you get it cheap enough.

I don't see anything wrong w/ the lower left corner... looks like normal alpha card to me.

Ok, that particular page would not load for me that night. And yes, I was drunk. Whatevs. But on another note, my friends gf is interested in getting into the game of magic and wants to build an edh deck cause that it what we mainly play 'round these parts. That being said, I'm on a quest for Angus Mackenzie!! Help me out mottle and get a girl into magic. Also, I'm drinking again. And where's Yaku to tell me to indent my paragaphs and fix my grammar? I clearly needed an apostrophe or two in there somewhere.
