LOL oh man. I thought he said something like 200 copies for a Lotus. Yeah that's still horrible. I guess there was much better things you could have mashed a Lotus for anyway...

Is 90 a good price for an UNL Plateau that would easily grade 9.5?__________________ *My LJ*Letter Bombs!*FB*Logout- MM is a copycat! (So am I)*CKGB

after you build a cube, what is the process to randomizing 15 card packs to pass around?? I've looked everywhere for this. Is this just an inherit thing fot mtg players?

What we do is split the whole cube into say 5 or 6 piles, and then we randomly mix all those piles. Then we take about half of each pile and then mix those into another big pile and mix that randomly. And then makes packs!!

precisely. If you really want, you could sort it all out by color, randomize those, and build packs with like, 2 of each, 1 land, 1 multi, 1 artifact, 2 more random cards. but we never bother. __________________ "He fights you not because you have wronged him, but because you are there."<@Anusien> Pretty sure New Zealanders are the sheep shaggers <KIP_NZ> Anusien: I'm a kiwi and I've shagged a sheep <KIP_NZ> we kiwi's like our sheep

We evenly-ish split the cube among the players, shuffle what we have, then pass ~half, and shuffle more. Do this a bunch with quite a few passes and it should split up chunks of decks and colors. We just randomly grab 3x15 cards some time during that process. Usually best to take a few cards, shuffle, pass, take a few more. I've also played with some who didn't allow you to keep the packs you made and instead randomly swap 1:1 w/ other people.

This is pretty much what we do, including the random passing of packs around the table after they are made. It's actually pretty entertaining to watch the massive shuffle piles being passed around the table. __________________ Wisconsin - smells like dairy air!I collect Granite Gargoyles. Send them my way.

Just won an Online Swiss M14 round. First time I was able to draft the Red/Black (and Blue, by the way) combo of double Act of Treason + some sac outlets.I think I wetted myself in the finals. Damn that is some good archetype if you can draft it. P1P1 Enlarge, but it quickly turned to blue/red adding black later. I ran into his Dragon Egg with my Water Servant T5, he hit me for 7 the next turn with the token, I stole his Dragon Token and attacked with a 5/3 Servant, 2/2 Blood Bairn and 5/2 stolen token the next turn, ending it by saccing it to the Bairn with an Outrage in hand. Sometimes this game can be brutal. For the opponent. __________________ I'm a geek, you're a geek. Let's trade.Lord Flasheart: Enter the man who has no underwear. Ask me why. 2 Act of Treason 1 Chandra's Outrage 1 Doom Blade 1 Altar's Reap 1 Bubbling Cauldron 1 Thunder Strike 1 Divination 1 Festering Newt 1 Warden of Evos Isle 1 Trained Condor 2 Nephalia Seakite 1 Canyon Minotaur 2 Regathan Firecat 1 Water Servant 1 Blood Bairn 1 Goblin Shortcutter 1 Academy Raider 1 Undead Minotaur 1 Accursed Spirit 1 Marauding Maulhorn That's it. The draft was a bit all over the place in general, but having CMC 4 as your highest and then relying on your tricks to push through worked for me. As I was spread out over 3 colors this was the best creature base I had, save it for 1 Gnawing Zombie. EDIT: some SB cards: 2 Frost Breath Lightning Talons (boarded it in once) Duress Gnawing Zombie Thunder Strike __________________ I'm a geek, you're a geek. The U/G archetype has been doing fairly well for me, but my preference blue + another color that durdles harder. This was a 3-0 in an 8-4, but there were likely some missteps along the way in the draft portion. The draft: https://sites.google.com/site/caquaasmtgdrafts/m14/event-5888511 the deck: https://www.dropbox.com/s/lzvyo3mcw7okul7/blue%20green.PNG
