i have worked with 4 different PO's and all are ok with it. they feel it up and deem it not too rigid due to the padded envelope i assume not to mention not all of it is packed. its usually just 2 toploaders with 4-12 cards. if i send more i use the next size envelope up and 2 sets of toploaders which definitely makes it bendable between the two groups.

Moderating this high end face book group is hilarious.

I was thinking about putting together a Modern UWR deck for fun. Started pricing out the pieces I'm missing. Now I'm thinking about just selling everything I have except for a few EDH decks. After playing this game for 18+ years, I know I really shouldn't be shocked at how high card values have climbed on even the most common elements of some decks, but it still shocks me from time to time. __________________ Wisconsin - smells like dairy air!I collect Granite Gargoyles. I sold out 5-6 years ago at worlds in NY. Fbb duals, foil goyfs (2 jap, 1 russian, 1 english), 4 foil deltas, 4 jap foil strands 15+ dark confidant.... its all 3-6x more than what I got. Now I'm back in and trading $50 cards like they were $10 cards back then and $10 was high on extended/standard stuff.

High End Magic Group. Just the complaining about what is and isn't high end. Some people don't think $100 cards are high end enough. __________________ Member Since 03/28/2001 12000+ posts 1st in posts in Ontario and Canada 9th in posts on MOTL 5th in Refs in Ontario Pushing to get to top 100 in MOTL Refs

At first, I thought "PO" was your parole officer.

Its kinda worrying. I don't think its necessarily a price bubble, but I don't see how card prices can maintain this trend without driving a large portion of the playerbase away from the game.

Draft and casual are the same price as always. In fact, crap rares are probably cheaper in the aggregate.

Not even crap rares. Anything that isn't a staple stays sub $3 for the most part. __________________ Member Since 03/28/2001 12000+ posts 1st in posts in Ontario and Canada 9th in posts on MOTL 5th in Refs in Ontario Pushing to get to top 100 in MOTL Refs

I'm actually in the midst of doing this very thing. I started converting my standard UWR to Modern and am almost done, but in the process have realized a few things. 1. I don't actually play magic as much as I think i do... 2. Because of 1, I've stopped purchasing any cards without selling off a few things. I use to have a rule, I wouldn't pay more than 10.00 for any individual card. When I went to my first FNM and realized just what people play, I had to step it up. I made concessions and started paying more for the cards I needed. The past couple of months I've been dropping money on cards like it's going out of style. Now... I've reigned in my spending and need to start selling.

It's because you're sending it as letter mail, or you WOULD be filling out customs forms for parcel mail. Derp. You've got a cool postal worker. quote: Originally posted by AEther Storm: Depending on the country, that's horsepoo. I've been here for a long, LONG time and have traded over 2000 times all over the world (excluding Antarctica). I've completed trades to the US (both ways!) on several occassions within 3 days. More often than not I get compliments on how fast the trade went and that they didn't expect it to be this quick. On average, I think mail arrives roughly at the same time as if it were a domestic parcel, but it depends on the sender (do they send out the day they say they do) and the country (some countries have slower mail systems).
Who cares about your customers. I've never gotten Canada mail in 3 days and I've had enough trades to know at least some put the cards in the mail the day they claimed. You get traders musing that they didn't it expect it to arrive so fast because it usually doesn't. __________________ Want Drana, Kalastria Bloodchief, and other vampire females oddities (foreign foil crimp miscut misprint sign testprint alters etc)My Saleslist Wants

I think my fastest from Canada was like 5 days. I had one from Finland (might have been Norway) in three.

I went to the mall earlier today and they have a store called the Toy Vault which sells mostly old toys, like Transformers, GI Joe, Wrestling figures, crap like that. They also have some older magic boosters and some singles, including a Tarmogofy (for like $135). Anyways, I notice they have Modern Masters at 12.99 a pack. My local LGS sells them for that price and I feel that is a little to much so have never bought any MM at all. My daughter wanted a pack of My Little Pony cards and my girlfriend wanted me to get a pack of MM. I just started a 2 week vacation so was feeling good so decided why not. I said to the two clerks working, "I'll take a pack of Modern Masters. Lets go Tarmogoyf!" The clerk grabs a pack and gives it a tap before giving it to me while the other clerk boringly looks on. I bust it open right away and there it is, a Tarmogoyf. We all went nuts, even the previously bored looking guy. Lots of high-fives and all that. I've been on cloud 9 all day. It was pretty awesome.
