Any recommendations would be greatly appreciated!

I don't know how many of the folks use the High End Magic group on facebook but I'm getting a bit frustrated with how grumpy people are about "what's high end" what's not.__________________ Member Since 03/28/2001 12000+ posts 1st in posts in Ontario and Canada 9th in posts on MOTL 5th in Refs in Ontario Pushing to get to top 100 in MOTL Refs

While I understand your frustration, please understand that there are several excellent venues for selling normal cards, including this one, and that group was made by and for people who are frustrated with the sheer volume of chaff you have to wade through here. People who are looking for high end stuff are understandably frustrated by the constant flood of things that feel like junk.We have the same problem on the Rarities group, where 3-5 people daily post "how much is this worth??!?11!?) and attach a picture of a card so slightly off-centered as to actually devalue it were it not already substandard toilet paper like an Orcish Veteran or something. It's just a constant struggle to maintain a tolerable signal to noise ratio in a group that's trying to be highly specialized. __________________ Always buying misprints. I don't mind filtering out the chaff but when people go on rants that "Foil Shock lands aren't high end" when in the rules that were created say that cards that are in high demand are fine just irritates me to now end. The group wasn't originally created to sell just Summer Magic cards. __________________ Member Since 03/28/2001 12000+ posts 1st in posts in Ontario and Canada 9th in posts on MOTL 5th in Refs in Ontario Pushing to get to top 100 in MOTL Refs

Lot on Craigslist:quote:
Selling 50,000+ mtg gathering cardsSerious replys only ! Will sell for cash
I responded that without any kind of breakdown of what these cards are, at all, I could offer 200 dollars. If he could give me -any- breakdown of the cards -at all- I could make an actually reasonable offer. Response "No thanks ! If you have any for sale at $200 for 50,000 cards Let me know- i will take 500,000 cards" I love when people exercise basic reading comprehension.

I'm looking to buy a bunch of revised basic lands in good condition. Does anybody know a good store for that or is my best bet advertising on the buy forums here?

So I did a search for Sleight of Mind on eBay the other night. Usually it's people with four Ice Age that want like $2 for them. To my surprise, there was a Signed Nicola Leonard IA one and an auction for 3 FWB/FBB ones. Of course snagged them as I need a Signed Nicola for my set. I didn't pay too much attention to the foreign ones and just got them anyways. They came yesterday and awesome, I needed both of them for my set: Portuguese WB 4th and Spanish BB 4th __________________ NEQUAQUAM VACUUM Been collecting Sleight of Minds long before braaaiiinnnsss were cool.M:tG set printing and spreadsheet utility | Whitehaven Kiwanis I need about 200 Heirs of Stromkirk

Anyone know who I might contact for some older spanish/portugeuse cards? I posted a Buy for them, but have 0 nibbles so far. I'd appreciate suggestions.

I'm not sure if iaa@yep is still around, he is from Spain and always had mostly Spanish cards on his list. __________________ I'm a geek, you're a geek. What's that site that people lookup which stores have which magic cards to sell (gives like 15-20 stores?)

Tcgplayer.com or cardshark.com. Both sites work in partnership with stores/dealers.

I was confusing tcg with find MTG cards. Does CardShark partner with stores?

Might be a dumb question but... How long are cards printed for a particular set after initial release? For example, Return to Ravnica. At what point will Wizards stop printing RTR cards or is dependent on demand to some extent?

Played Modern tonight for the first time in ages. Got paired against my buddy first round (of course). I'm trying out mono-black control, he's got RDW with the usual black splash for Bump in the Night. Game 1, life is 7-5 him, but he has no cards in hand, no board other than lands, and I have Lily @4, 2x Obliterators and a Bloodghast out. Mind you now, he's a master of bizarre-o tech. Sure enough, he top decks a Pain's Reward, bids 4 life, and draws 4 cards, including 2x Lava Spikes. I just lost to a ****ing Necropotence. It was kinda nostalgic to be honest.

Foil Shocks aren't high end. Foil Japanese/Korean/Russian shocks are something worth looking at. I'm not a member of this group, but thinking I might hop on in since I didn't know about it previous. Wouldn't it be easier to set a dollar limit with some exception clause for obscure yet lower priced cards? makes things easier imo quote: Originally posted by coasterdude84: Played Modern tonight for the first time in ages. I included this card for suicide black in my cube as it feels like a great card for a deck that is all in. I think it would easily been a tourney staple if it were 2 mana. While I wasn't playing in the Kamigawa era, I'll make the assumption that this card didn't see any play at that time, but who knows ><

Bidwicket also does this sort of thing, my gripe is it doesn't have a good interface for selecting the cheapest store for a list of cards.

It is kind of odd/interesting though that there are still people who buy from SCG/CFB/whatever by default.
