I would hardly call that anyone's worst. But embarrassing for sure. I know because of this, I will be investing in those things, what do you call them...belts?

The reason this is a problem is because it might scare people from coming to future tournaments if the threat of this type of behavior is lingering. That is the lats thing WoTC wants.

Maybe after your opponent shuffles your deck they can check your belt?Seriously when your pants are hanging at half staff like these guys I'm inclined to think a rapper just died or something. I was hoping JCMD would be posting that they should just turn the other cheek. I don't care what hobbies people do, but when you are at a venue and it's essentially a public affair (I'm sure people notice 4300 people clumped up in a convention center) dress in such a way you promote a healthy image for the magic community. I've been trying for 12 years to make magic seem like it's not just a game people play in their parents basement but I feel like images such as these destroy all I've tried to accomplish.

http://www.wizards.com/Magic/Magazine/Article.aspx?x=mtg/daily/news/20140314We have an official statement on the Richmond buttcrack debacle: "Following the event, players reached out to us, expressing their frustration and dismay over the division of the community and how Magic players were being treated and portrayed." I think it's reasonable to make a stand against this type of behavior. If you want to be funny and possibly hurt peoples' feelings, then accept the consequences and go do it somewhere else. It was pretty funny though.

The butthurt response does nothing to help the general public's shallow opinion of the magic playing community. Now, not only are we all card playing dorks who don't bathe enough and can't get dates on Friday nights, we also have ridiculously thin skin, have no sense of humor and can't pull up our own pants. Thanks for that. If the buttcracks and the unwashed minions don't scare you away from Magic tournaments why would anything else?

If anything, it validates that bullying occurs everywhere - even in an environment where the bullied began to congregate in a safe haven.

Ok, enough of this over exaggerating. In the first place How could this possibly be constituted as bullying? There was no actual confrontation, no identification. If anything, it may have been embarrassing but again no one is named and no faces are shown. If any of the individuals photographed has an issue then they need to invest in a pair of big boy pants (excuse the pun). Additionally, what makes you think that all Magic players - and by extension gamers - are bullied? I will concede that while gaming is more accepted in 2014 than it was even a decade ago that it can occur, I just don't buy that all Magic players are getting together to hide from "the Bullies".

Well, he got an 18 month suspension out of it. So I guess the only opinion that really matters is from Wizards and the DCI.__________________ Wisconsin - smells like dairy air!I collect Granite Gargoyles. Send them my way.

The 6 month suspension people thought was him wasn't. It's the same length as 8sides got for the GP Indy debacle, so I'm fine with it. DBAD should always be in effect at Magic tournaments.

People seem to believe that event attendees need to make a better effort to look presentable, or we believe that this person was wrong for posting pictures of other peoples' appearances at the event. I think both are true. It's difficult to put myself in the shoes of a heavier person. I don't know how their clothes act in a folding chair. Either way, I think we've beaten this dead horse enough. As an aside, I want to know what people think is going to happen in the future with pricey Modern staples. We have cards that are not ever going to be reprinted in standard, like Karn Liberated and Liliana of the Veil, pushing very high dollar amounts. Modern Masters did almost nothing to push the value of staples down. Is there ANY way these cards would be brought down in price? I'm trying to think of a way Wizards could print them en-masse but I can't (unless MM2 has like, triple the print run), and I want to trade for Modern before my standard staples are pushing rotation, but I don't want to get burned. I was joking with my brother that Wizards is going to just print no-drawback tri-lands when Legacy dies. "Suck on that, reprint policy."

Well, my plan to make a modern UWR flash deck is likely not going to happen now. Got an order today from an ebay seller that was supposed to include 4x Restoration Angel. Instead, it was 4x Requiem Angel.A case has been opened. I'm sure this "mistake" will likely result in a refund and me leaving a neg, considering the card has doubled in price since I placed the order. __________________ Wisconsin - smells like dairy air!I collect Granite Gargoyles. Did the photos of the huge guy in gray sweatpants ever come out? Literally crapped his pants and played the entire day with crap all over the outside of his pants. I believe it was GP Toronto. It was wretched.

I definitely agree that wizards should do something about it, but 18 months doesn't seem to fit the "crime" quote: Originally posted by dwiz: Did the photos of the huge guy in gray sweatpants ever come out? I can't see that guy not getting ejected. That would be pretty nauseating.

We could not believe what we were seeing. I guess it's good we didn't document it. Wouldn't want to get an 18 month ban for making fun of a grown man who pooed himself and continued to play cards instead of having dignity and going to change.

I'd have called the head judge. That's a health hazard that could get them and the venue in trouble for not addressing. Especially if it was outside his clothes. If he does nothing, call a municipal bylaw officer.

fecal oral route is a common mode of entry for many infectious bacteria, some cause symptoms noticeable quickly (like Vibrio Cholera and V. mimicus V.haemolyticus) and others may cause not so noticable symptoms that may also displace your natural flora (such as clostridium difficiles) biology major

Which is why it's a public health hazard for somebody to be spreading feces to everything he touches and sits on in a venue where people are sharing chairs and touching things.

I like how in high school the bully was the guy who either pantsed you or gave you a wedgie. Now the bully is the guy showing you your crack is showing. Awkward.

I don't know why I'm surprised by it but man people are so impatient about getting their cards... I was read some feedback on TCG Player, so many people leave neg feedback because the cards took 4 days to arrive instead of 3. I think TCG Player allows sellers to take 6-8 days for the cards to arrive. (With standard shipping)
