I think this might be the only place that makes me feel my age (honestly feeling a little self-conscious to say 43 aloud) and wonder where the time went. Not even my kids do that.I never have gotten a Letter Bomb signed by Leshrac, but I do own the original artwork. I didn’t expect to win the auction. I only bid so I could say I had. And that’s why I sold my 4 City of Traitors. __________________ *My LJ*Letter Bombs!*FB*Logout- MM is a copycat! (So am I)*CKGB

Was moved to come back and check in without a ton to say. Spend a lot of time in the trivia sphere these days, hosting a fairly well-attended weekly game and corporate and fundraising events aside. (That's the fun side-hustle, I can't imagine how anyone makes a career of it) Hope the rest of you occasional-checker-inners are all doing well! __________________ Forum signatures: all the wisdom of a cereal box with none of the sugar! 23 years a member and counting. Hotdamn that this is still active. So whatshisnameagain is still paying the bill for this thing or what? Am I still in time for Secret Santa?'sup everyone. Still alive and kicking here. Hope you all are okay. For all we know I could be typing next years' message in Russian. Or will I get smacked for not posting that in the Post for Politics? Now that I'm here I just wanted to double-check with my unknown-American friends I never talk to about what they feel about those New Jersey sightings? WTF is going on there? There is hardly any news here in Europe about that but there is serious interest amongst people here, so what's your take on it? Cheers everyone, if I don't post here before Christmas, happy holidays for everyone! __________________ I'm a geek, you're a geek. Let's trade.Lord Flasheart: Enter the man who has no underwear. good hearing from you bud! The drones are just drones. Could be the military testing out new ones but just drones.

Really? There were talks about sightings of drones the size of a car? Now I'm sure the US military has some secret s h i t lying about, but why on earth would you fly drones over New Jersey for over a month and not tell anyone about it? I mean, that's one way for the public to lose trust in the government right? Is that just testing the public and see what they do? It kinda reminds me like the original War of the Worlds scenario. If the US military is capable of doing that, they could end the war in Ukraine real fast without anyone knowing about it __________________ I'm a geek, you're a geek. It's probably just a bunch of copycat drone owners posting things on tiktock or whatever platform the "yute's" post on anymore. Make sure to use your best Joe Peschi impression reading the word in the parentheses.

I know I'm late to the party, but I finally scanned my Christopher Rush Lightning Bolt collection:https://boltbait.com/lightning_bolt/ 1200dpi scans included. Which one of my collection do you figure is the most expensive? __________________ Everyone you meet is going through something * BoltBait is the official holder of the MOTL [Logout] Button

I'm guessing the Summer based on pure scarcity. Been out the scene for well over a decade though.

And nobody knows a thing? Not even the famous US investigative organisations? That would be a first Anyhow, hope everyone has a good holiday!

Couldn't find recent sales of a summer edition lightning bolt anywhere. Random raw commons are anywhere between 100 and 500 bucks. Graded go upwards of a grand. There was a recent graded counterspell that went for I believe $1200, which is similarly iconic. Lightning Bolt is more so in my opinion. If I were to appraise your Summer Bolt, assuming it's NM and would grade at 8+ should you choose to slab it, I can see it going for at least $800 raw or as high as $2000 graded. Maybe you could get more at a convention if you found the right buyer.

This is sweet, congrats! The last set of Grim Lavamancer reprints broke the Grim Lavamancer Global Playset project...the non-US non-Japanese retro border foils would've been too much of a pain to acquire in both money and effort. I did, however, get the original sketch Parente made for his new Lavamancer art.

The Summer Bolt is really clean, NM. There aren't any for sale because by now they're all in the hands of hardcore collectors so they probably won't move at any price. Alpha cut 4th common is probably more rare than a Summer common. Estimates around 20 of each common and even less uncommons and not all rares are known to exist. The miscut is one of a kind, of course. But, as far as miscuts go, they're fairly cheap as they're pretty common (albeit, all slightly different). The Judge foil bolt is in the $600-700 range. The artist's proof may be the most rare at a certified 25 copies. That cost a pretty penny, I can tell you that! I would like to find a Christopher Rush crimped bolt. That would be pretty sweet. I paid $330 for the M30 retro bolt and $25 for the M30 modern bolt. Those retro bolts are hard to come by--I saw one sold for $125, but I was too late to that party. I didn't want to be outbid again. __________________ Everyone you meet is going through something * BoltBait is the official holder of the MOTL [Logout] Button
