Goblin Guide was printed in an event deck and didn't take that much of a hit.

I don't see Stoneforge dropping below 10.

2 Goblin Guides =/= 24.99

This deck however also has a Mirrian Crusader plus a couple other $1 rares. I see Stoneforges settling in around $7-8 before the rotation.

It's lost about a third of it's value, that's a big hit for a card that hasn't even rotated yet. Stoneforge will be 10 or less because people will be better off buying the Event Decks rather than paying more. Reprinting always hurts card values in the long run.

Since this won't be a limited print run.

And people really do get the idea to hoard them all. Why can't Wizards print more, or why won't they print more? why didn't they print more Rat decks when kamigawa was out? ANy ideas?

Lol Mr.C is asking about the group P2P post to have a good laugh (P2P is ridiculous because you are trying to justify blatantly ripping ppl off in trades) and of course you chime in about wanting to try P2P... it's very fitting.

jitte was a whole different story. Wizards didn't even know how good the card was. In play testing it only added 1 counter but was very weak. At the last second they switched it to 2 counters, but didn't have time to test. Players didn't catch on right away to jitte either. Printing this stuff up is done months and months in advance, so given no one knew anything about that card, there was no reason to have enough available.

Stoneforge is being played in every format, but standard has it being played in nearly every deck. Standard is where the price is being driven from. Given that popular standard cards that are up for rotation are already dropping (see: Jace tms), I don't see this deck being the reason why stoneforge drops.This deck will be useful to pick up stoneforges for a month or so, then it will be over priced.

Sorry, I didn't mean "rip" as in not sending/pretending they didn't receive/etc. What I meant is that ppl doing P2P expect extra value in trades and justify it simply because they are "doing P2P."

They didn't just print more because the theme decks came in a box of 12. They couldn't just put out boxes of rat's nest decks.

Anyone want to help me put together a list of legacy/vintage staples that I should always try to trade for to improve the quality (and value) of my collection?

I have the start of a list; but to be honest, theres just so many cards and I haven't been in the legacy/vintage scene since Black Summer.

Duals, FoW, Wastland, Fetch Lands are all a good place to start. That aren't $100+ yet. (other then a minty UnSea)

Formats for community cup announced. Could modern be another chance for wizards to fix extended. Seems like a good opportunity to test the format and get input.

This are just Sketches I whipped up for Sovarious, Its a Proxy Sol RIng, a Proxy Myr Enforcer, and a Wurm Token and another Wurm Token.

I sure hopes he likes'em so I can do something similar with his blanks.
