It's 8th edition onwards. So basically only things that have been printed in the new frames. So no Sol Ring

Yes, it's real. It will be the format for PT Philly next month.

Yes, it's causing havoc with prices at the moment.

As with all other formats, as long as there is a version of the card that is legal for play in the format, all versions of that card are legal. As for Sol Ring in particular, boxed sets do not count. It must be in a core set or a standard expansion to count.

Legality is determined by expansion symbol, not by card frame.

It's gotta be in a set that was originally printed in the new card frame. Mirrodin and up, 8th edition and up. So like, STP was printed in the new card frame yeah, but like Ice Age wasn't.

Seriously, these prices are bonkers. Has it ever been this crazy in a single year before? First Legacy prices spike like mad, then the modern causes prices of random crap to go through the roof. Feels like a good time to liquidate everything and just play Pauper.

okay found my 22 packs of future sight that have been sitting in storage for the last 4-5 years, opening them now. results soon.

Running results....
first pack. Akroma Memorial.... Score (and foil common sliver)
Second pack Pact of titan not bad
4th pack tombstalker...
3,5-8 were misses.
Pack 9 Tarmogoyf!
10-12 were fail not even decent uncommons. but 13 was Arbor, Dakmor, and Bridge from Below
and last 10 were all fail.

wow.. in 22 packs to get 4 dupe rares and have them be
Linessa Zephyr Mage
VeilStone Amulet
Muraganda Petroplyphs and
Darksteel Garrison..

getting back for my first 10 packs.

Oh well yay! goyf and other decent stuff.

going to leave the sealed box of Saviors in storage.

Maelstrom pulse is on the rise, about freaken time. I can't believe Grove beat this card to $20.

I bought mine at 6 nm on MOTL it's like 8 now.

Yeah I saw that someone mentioned Grove of the Burnwillows yesterday or the day before, and I was like eh, the finished results on Ebay aren't that high, whatever. Must not have caught up, and then I checked Pulse, and SCG still has some in stock at like 7 (for SP), so I was like maybe they're talking about MTGO? Planning on building a modern deck. Definitely going with G/W, but which of the other colors is the best to add in?

Rock - G/W/B (Dark Confidant, Thoughtseize)
Bant - G/W/U (Vendilion Clique, Mana Leak)
Zoo - G/W/R (Nacatl, Bloodbraid Elf)

I really want to see a 4 color zoo variant. I think it'd be pretty neat. G/W/R/B You get Confidants/Thoughtseize in a zoo shell.

Ever play tribal zoo in old extended (circa 2009)? You basically started the game at 12 life.

I didnt realize how high Vendilion Clique had gotten. I posted on a guys page to sell him 3 Ex Cliques at 18 each, and my inbox was spammed by people wanting to buy them. I guess thats a pretty good sign I should just hold onto them.

Wow, those are some amazingly sweet pulls. The top 3 (4 with Bridge at $20 now?) money cards in the set? Yes please!

Also if you don't want those dupe rares, I'm actually looking for all of them and would be interested in trading for them.
