Boxes do not get to stores directly from Wotc. Wotc sells them to regional distributor (wotc makes profit here). Regional distributor sells them to smaller distributor (regional dude profits here). Small distributor sells to stores (guy profits here). Stores sell to you (stores profit here). Basically, boxes go through a ton of hands and markups before a store ever buys them for $76.

Saw the craziest ending to aFirst Place match in a tourney ever. Tied 1-1. Third game goes to time. On the winner's last turn in extra time, he Rebuked his own attacker at the end of combat step to trigger Falkenrath Noble to do the last point of damage for the win. EPIC.

Not exactly
Premier stores DO get product direct from WOTC.
Premier stores are NOT allowed to sell boxes outside the US

Paid $90 for a playset of Snapcaster Mage so I can have them for state. Pre-sale hype. Gotta love it.

This is the first pre-release since Mirrodin, I think, that I haven't even drafted in a side event. A sequence has been broken.

you're impatient, heh. I've gotten 3 via trading at the prerelease but don't even need them... just throwing them on the good ole sales thread hoping to get rid of them. Irony will come as soon as I confirm a deal then decide I'm playing a deck that would like them in it.

Easier and cheaper to send to 10 distributors instead of 10000 stores

Placed second in prerelease. Walked away with 11 free packs and a playmat. It was a good day. Playing in Indianapolis for Starcity this coming Saturday. Hopefully I walk away with something there.

I got a Liliana at the Friday Midnight, and lost in the last round placing just outside the T8. Then proceeded to trade 4/6 of my first INN rares for Serra Angels

At Saturday I played in the worst Value Pre-Re. Went 3-1 and got 3 packs...

My Pre-Release proves why I need alot of sleep before midnight runs...

Went 3-0 to start, then 0-3 to finish, ending 3-3 for the night and 27/76.

Probally would have T8, with more sleep, and not being lazy and fixing my deck once I relaized how fast decks were getting.

Was playing U/W, Should have been playing R/W

Guess you live and learn, upside, made some nice trades.

Won round three of the prerelease: game two, 1-0, down to 2 life with nothing on the board but 10 lands and facing down a stitched drake with the equipment that grants +1/+2 and hexproof. Opponent is at 8. Topdeck Devil's Play.

Edit: full report. Went 2-1-1 (round four opponent and I decided to draw since it would be 2 packs for each of us instead of a potential 4). Went W/g/r. Favorite limited combo: thraben sentry, elder cathar, and prey upon (prey the cathar to kill a creature, then attack with your new 7/6 trampler). Other standouts included devils play, gavony township (plus loads of fliers), the 3 mana spell that kills an attacking creature. I don't know about anyone else, but I opened oodles of removal in practically every color. The decision of which colors to play came down to which deck had the most creatures, lol.

I went 3-1-1 to win 4 packs.

I opened a Snapcaster and the 1UU 5/6 dude but didn't have any worth while blue to play them

that 1/2 black guy that makes Demons is bonkers btw, especially since people are dumb and when i go attack with my 2/2 into your bigger creature they block, i cast another creature and make a 5/5 :/

traded a whole bunch during the day for Zombies and Werewolves. Got an Undead Alchemist, Endless Ranks of the Dead, and Unbreathing Horde for zombies, and two more Mayor of Avabrucks + Kruin Outlaw for werewolves. Oh, and I opened a Daybreak Ranger. My werewolf deck is coming together

3-0'd 2 Drafts, good for 16 packs (8-4s)

5-1 Saturday pre-re and got 24 packs (missed 2nd by 5% points, 2nd got a box)

4-0-1 today and got 24 packs for a split with 1st

Someone at our prerelease got a Garruk and Liliana in the same pack, pretty crazy. Still want to see someone pull both the planeswalkers and a foil rare, talk about a money pack.
