They were already better. Misstep's banning doesn't make non-blue any better, especially from a holistic perspective, since we're back to blue being the only thing with a decent chance against combo. Misstep slowed the format by a few turns; we're now speeding up again.

Thanks, but don't worry about it. If needed, I can probably whip up a VB front end for the Magic Suitcase database that works a bit better, just leave out a lot of the features that I don't use in Suitcase. I'd much prefer a database backend than a spreadsheet.

I was under the impression that its generally about a year or so. They might still tweak cards and numbers and pull or replace one or two cards but I think the set is generally ready to go.

As for a decision to reprint shocklands, I think that's already done. If they're in the next big block then they already know it because they'll have to plan other rares and mythics around it and build limited with them in mind.

I agree, however it doesn't seem quite the power house that it is in other formats. I'm so out of touch with vintage though...

it seems to be way better vs TPS decks then anything else. In non-TPS decks it gets ancestral, mystical, vampiric, imperial seal, ... what else? If it was 1 or less then I could see it dominating vintage.
