who is sgcardgames on ebay? I know they have a MOTL account and I've dealt with them before, but I can't be certain exactly who it is.

More likely it's just the natural "holding pattern" that happens a few weeks before the release of a new set. Everyone is waiting to see what gets spoiled before they revise their want list, and then the trade frenzy starts over once the pre-releases start up.

I'm not sure where else to post this but...does anyone know anything about Troll and Toad's recent buy list? I emailed them shortly after it was posted requesting a sale of like $300 and I haven't heard back. Kind of unnerving to hold out when it's a bunch of stuff I need to sell ASAP.

It wasn't in their block of rules, so if it was mentioned elsewhere I must have missed it. I was just worried because they replied in their thread that they were sending out replies "tonight", which at this point is 2 days ago. EDIT: Just checked the thread again and it looks like I'm not the only one who was wondering what's up. I'm guessing that's what you meant stu55. I just didn't want to break the rules by posting on their thread. Thanks for the heads up.

Went to magic shop today. Asked: Can I borrow some basic lands [becuase it's EDH 1v1 with some extra stuff banned?]Store guy: Our policy is not to lend out cards. This is a store that demands $5 for rebuff the wicked, so I'm going to guess they would be wanting, what, $1 each for played 5th edition islands?

I understand this because basic lands aren't free anymore with pre-release packages. If i were them i would have just asked for a deposit in case you did not return the cards. __________________

The stores here have shoeboxes full of basics... it's polite to ask to take some but you can just grab them if you want.What kind of deposit would you put on basics? A cent? lol

They don't ever open boosters/boxes or fat packs? They don't keep the lands from drafts? Never open precons to sell singles? I go to a janky ripoff of a store (well, if you want to buy singles) and they still have lands laying around. They ask for them back so they can be reused for drafts, but even if you don't... Lands are somewhat limitless. Your store should ask for donations of lands then, i'm sure a few people could help out.

I've personally got ~5-6k basic lands, any real store that even remotely runs events should have that much or more laying around, if they don't well that's on them....lazy stores, bleh...__________________

If lands are so easy to find why do some stores offer more in bulk for basic lands then commons? Small stores who run releases but don't open more than one box for singles can easily run out of lands if they have people poaching them. __________________

Supply and demand?
Stores would much prefer 400 lands than 400 Kamahl's Sledges.
