Anything I should be looking to draft this weekend in particular? I'm usually not very good at drafting until I've done quite a few so any pointers going into my first one of the set would be swell.

R/X soulbond humans? seems that it could be powerful. Red has some of the best commons/uncommons off the top of my head, but maybe the numbers favor something else. I'd say just go through the spoiler, look at the commons and uncommons (ignore rares), cross out anything unplayable, then look at what colors left have a higher number of playables as well as a nice mana curve. Given all that, I'd say trying for any one specific strategy is a sure way to fail. Just watch for signals and recognize what colors seem open. Don't fight for weak colors just because of a nice rare, you'll lose to people who were playing nice and sticking to their own colors.

As long as its diversified like Innistrad I'll be happy with it. I wouldn't want it to turn into three months of Skies vs R/W Humans, even if I like drafting Skies. __________________ Most References in Massachusetts 80th All-timeSupport my friend's store: http://www.tabletoparena.com

It's a shame the mods delete most posts after they close. There was a really good thread that essentially explained every reason that a buyer and seller would choose MOTL over Ebay (or vice versa). As a side note, anyone else feel like vomiting when they watch Tom Martell do the cube drafts on MOTL? Seriously, it it wasn't a land, or didn't have the highest color intensity out of each pack, he wasn't gonna draft it. I can barely get through the draft portion, but when he starts flip-flopping over his deck construction I just lose it.

That's actually not true. The system prunes things after a couple years, but that thread should be floating around somewhere. __________________ Looking for misprinted Commander decks. Got one? Talk to me.

I think I won an ISD 4 pack sealed without playing it.Opened a Falkenrath Aristocrat, Liliana of the Veil, Sever the Bloodline, Drogskol Reaver and Mondronen Shaman. Will update in a couple hours when I go 0-4. lol Edit Match 1: Utter domination. Game 1 was that 2/1 vampire that gets bigger turn 2 followed by the 2/1 hasty vampire that gets bigger and he had no creatures. Game 2 I got him down to 2 life and flipped my Mondronen Shaman just to be a jerk. Edit Match 2: Maybe 12 creatures in a 30 card deck is just too much for some people to handle, this guy had all kinds of removal but couldn't keep up. I'm only running 2 pieces of removal

Some people do tend to throw all the removal they get into their decks in sealed. You can easily counter this by playing a high creature count. You drop a dude on curve every turn and eventually they just run out and die. Good times.

especially when they drop their removal to kill Erdwal Rippers and stuff like that and let Aristocrats or that shaman guy rule the board

That whole last line was not what it was supposed to be. oops. Just got back from avr prerelease, only thing of any note worth pulling was Temporal Mastery. Cool.

Went undefeated, drew into top, split.Yay for prereleases, managed to trade for G/W Angel, Temporal Mastery, Red PW'er, and 2-3 of a few 2-5$ rares, traded for every die/token I saw, all in all a good day. BTW R/W/G Aggro was what I played, 16 creatures + removal, curve was basically 4, with two 7 mana's in case it lasted that long. __________________ I shall have the souls of all who defy me. Went 5-1 at the pre-re with a solid RG midrange deck. Those 3/3s that are 5/5 on your turn are quite useful for beating face. Really liked Soulbound once I understood it, but man is it a complicated mechanic to grok. Was very impressed with how it was run at a local store. Started at noon and ended at 5, 6 rounds with build time. Efficient, wish more places ran like that. Now I hunker down to build Karona EDH deck based around the vows . Should be neat, lots of cards to plow through to find the happy medium.
