Has it been a "Totally sold out at 10 bucks normal and 20 bucks foil on SCG, 13 bucks mid on magiccards.info" card for a while and I just didn't notice? Or did something recent happen to jump the price up?

You don't spend a bundle on duals since there are cheap subs (shocks), but other than that....I have a feeling you'll start to say that about a lot of cards.

Been like that for awhile now, and also has guy above me said, you'll be saying that about a lot of cards.

I don't get what you mean about the comparison to Duals vs Shocks. Is Chord supposed to be the budget version of something more expensive?

No, what he meant I think is Shocks are getting cheaper, and perhaps the value is being displaced onto other cards to compensate.

I use trading post though for mine.

I play a reasonble number of creatures, so nether spirit doesn't work. Pit looks good. Foundry seems too easy to get 2 for 1'd. Mimic Vat looks awesome. Get avalanche riders every turn. Go to LD heaven.

I like how LD was uber-punishment on all the slow controlly decks. Of which most of the format is.

Any reason why Lord of Extinction is a 10$ card? I know casual, but is that really doing that much?

It's a big part of Modern. Specifically Pod decks use it. It's been gonig up for a while now, and after the Bloodbraid Elf banning Pod decks have been becoming even more popular. Plus it's an EDH card, and it's almost a decade old.....so yea, there ya go.

I don't think it was every bulk. I can't remember ever seeing them at under the $3-4 mark, as EDH was already on the upswing during Shards block.

I was wrong - it wasn't bulk at that time, or ever. It was, however, half the price it is now

It will drop. The set is so new that there is virtually no supply right now. Plus, I think people wised up after seeing Liliana of the Veil and Wolfir Silverheart went up a ton after a big tournament, so they started buying it BEFORE that tournament.

I like that it counters thragtusk, but not in a way of being strictly better. Same with Skullcrack and Sphinx's revelation.

Gatecrash's metagame answers are pretty elegant.
