It's not so much the warped metagames, but the general feeling that they prefer to ban rather than unban. I won't argue that Jund was everywhere and that something needed to be done but unbanning something might have helped more people from feeling bummed. As it is, and I know local anecdotes don't portray the overall player base, I know a handful of people who were putting together Jund to play in a few PTQs. And while they can still play with their Confidants and Goyfs and Shamans. It stings and the deck just isn't the same. All but one of them is now not going to the PTQ in 2 weeks and more than likely not to another one in 5 weeks.

On that note, today has been a complete train wreck for me Magically. BBE was banned (I loved that girl), Invigorate was banned in Pauper completely nerfing the only deck I had online and tanking its value to almost nil. I drafted a sweet Rakdos deck and there was an error during deck submission, a crash, and I couldn't get it up before I had to play with an 81 card deck for Game 1.

I feel like cracking GTC winnings to lighten the mood.

I think this is the feeling shared by most serious players. People want to play with their cards.

What happens is you'll choose your guild, and the pack will contain four dragon's maze packs, a guild pack of whatever guild you chose (they use Dimir as an example), and a guild pack of a guild that you will NOT know about in advance which is from the other set (RTR if your guild debuted in Gatecrash, and vice versa) and shares one color with your chosen guild (so if you chose Dimir, your second guild might contain in its pack a Golgari, Azorius, or Izzet guildpack). No playable prerelease promos anymore. (but then, imo, getting to play two guilds and getting support for two guilds is awesome enough).

This seems flavorful as all hell to me. I wonder if the "secret" guild is a fixed constant (for exmaple, if the Dimir always have a Golgari pack as their 'partner'), so there's a definite, canon web of alliances between the ten guilds that we won't know about until Dragon's maze releases (which would be AWESOME HOLY CRAP) or whether it's randomized so you never know going into the prere which it is (which would also be awesome but in a different way).

If I run Orzhov I hope my ally is Golgari. It makes sense flavor wise as they're the two guilds of infinite servitude (Orzhov by retaining the soul, golgari by retaining the body).
If the allies are fixed, I'd put even money on the Izzet connecting with the Boros for the UWR wedge.

I would replace them with either foil snow lands or foil zendikar lands. The snow lands are better theme-wise (since arcum was a researcher during the ice age) and about $100 cheaper but the zen lands look way better.
