Pretty much. With so many PTQs being done at the store level now, some places just don't have all the space that's needed to fit hundreds of players. My closest LGS is pretty big, and even they have a cap of like 200 players if the event is on site.

See this just doesn't make much sense to me, but I also may be bitter as one of the local shops caps at 32 for events...

That said, I HATE AND LOATHE this new small stores can do it do BS, it's a fail concept that screws the players and the stores in the long run.

Good to hear they where nice about it.

I still want old events back, I want my state wide pre-releases etc back....tired of all this small stuff, and these small stores trying to play in the big leagues and failing big instead ...

or worse yet, singing up for events then never running them, and just keeping the promo's to sell. (Which is happening more and more by the year)
