Opinions of Tajic being a good general in EDH?I'm thinking cards like Holy Mantle, Precint Captain and Assemble the Legion type stuff. Lots of good soldiers, am I right? ~MM __________________ Blah, blah, blah werewolf. Smackity-smack not a werewolf. Suspicious of this fruit loop. Could work but Aurelia might be the better general. Hero of Bladehold, Elspeth etc. work wonders. Bonus points for working Marton Stromgald in there for secret tech (I run a mono-red Marton deck and it can be highly explosive).

Yea but if I play in standard I have to play against children but if I play in legacy I can play against adults acting like children. Lose-Lose.

25% Mono Blue Devotion at the top tables at GP Louisville with the target on its back, looks like its demise might have been a bit exaggerated.

I've never seen R/W Soldiers...but my buddy has a mono-white Darien, King of Kjeldor EDH deck. If you wanna go on the soldier plan I can probably acquire you the list. It's lots of fun, pretty cheap, and can win. If you wanted the shell to tinker around with adding a second color lmk.

Today I played with my semi-new Bant allies Deck in multiplayer. it was pretty absurd. allies can get out of hand pretty quickly. It all went my way when i played the merfolk ally that draws you cards when you tap'im and he lived through 3 other player's turns. After that just draw more allies and played the milling ally to come to an awesome finish when i had to O-Ring my own creatures in order to draw exactly the last 12 cards in my deck and not lose. so I could find my last allies and mill my remaining two opponents on the same turn. If for whatever reason they didn't lose on their turn I'd lose on mine. It was pretty Epic.

I just bought a whole bunch of check lands from MAB, so I can pretty much build any deck with my new mana base.Any recommendations on a modern build that is creature based. can be aggro, aggro-control. but needs to be a budget deck ( built Bant allies for less than $20), casual and can be good in a multiplayer environment? I was thinking slivers, but i dunno. ~Myy

Would Cavern Harpy be a good option in Shardless BUG?quote: Originally posted by Myy: I just bought a whole bunch of check lands from MAB, so I can pretty much build any deck with my new mana base.Any recommendations on a modern build that is creature based. can be aggro, aggro-control. but needs to be a budget deck ( built Bant allies for less than $20), casual and can be good in a multiplayer environment? Bant Slivers might work. 8 Muscle Slivers, Galerider, and Chameleon Colossus at the top of the curve.

Well, s/he does seem to have indicated a desired purchase price of $100.

MTGO question:I have about 25 Theros foils (including Master of Waves), how do I get best value out of them? Is there some well paying foilbot or person who buys foils at premium that I should know of? Ty!

Did my first Theros draft tonight. Very interesting format, although I really think there needs to be more removal to help prevent some of the stupid things dedicated heroic decks can do. I realize that's kind of the point, but it's still very annoying.__________________ Wisconsin - smells like dairy air!I collect Granite Gargoyles. Send them my way.

Standard? I was thinking about the matchups vs mono-black (and mono-blue) devotion and I was wondering how vulnerable the deck would be to slaughter games. It feels like if you could remove all the Gray Merchants on turn 4 you'd take most of the bite out of the deck, but the mono-black player would probably Thoughtseize/Duress it out of your hand before then. Has anybody played/tested a matchup like this?
