And with the way these cards are worth so much how can you not deal in $100+ deals? Most people need them or want to sell them. Again you have to start somewhere and with full protection I was willing to help. I have bought and traded from many < 10 ref people. Some just don't work out. I bought $300 off iPLANESWALK and he got banned later. You never know when or if someone will do it but its the risk you take to make a buck.
I know by using non-gift payment, you are covered by PayPal and can take on riskier deals, but I do hope people would just stop sending/paying first to any new or low ref members, EVEN when they are using non-gift payments. I know it's tempting to pay first when there is a good bargain available, but that is also what the rippers are counting on. If everyone would just do their part and stop sending/paying first to new/low ref members, we might have a lot less rippers.

The only US legacy GP is in NJ in November. Have to go.quote: Originally posted by WeedIan: http://classic.magictraders.com/ubb/Forum4/HTML/005439.htmlSo for this one, i was messaged by multiple people who i told that this person seemed sketchy even though my deal (which was $15 for 2 shocks) went fine. I don't understand why people were sending hundreds of dollars to this member with 1 ref first.
WeedIan - Thanks for responding to me (and the other folks).. I thought better of it and just passed on it If a deal seems like too good a deal, it usually is.

One American Legacy GP in a one year period is such a beating. Like really, not even 2? I know sealed GPs are huge business for WOTC, but maybe cut 1 standard or modern?

I totally agree. I saw his sale list too and I decided that it wasn't worth the hassle. If I have a dollar for every time I see a suspicious member, I can probably buy a couple of 6-packs easily.

Aren't Standard and Modern their current babies though? They've been pushing them pretty hard, and lately, it seems like WotC wouldn't mind if Eternal formats went the way of the dinosaur.

Yeah, that's definitely true. It just seems like Legacy draws some good numbers at the GP level, often even more than standard and modern, so it seems like it might be a good idea to throw legacy players a bone and just have 2 US, 2 EU legacy rather than 1 and 1.

Ground Seal to an extent, or you could run artifacts like Tormod's Crypt or Grafdigger's Cage

I say targeted because I am not looking to hurt my graveyard effects. I'm trying to find something synergistic with Crypt Champion. I don't think he's really all that bad, and is quite fun for a low tier modern deck. So reusable removal like DRS/Ooze, or something like faerie macabre that I can just bring back or at least use for free. I enjoy Extirpate and Extraction because they cost very very little to just hit a card and also have a really good kicker.quote: Originally posted by KGtheLegend: Ground Seal to an extent, or you could run artifacts like Tormod's Crypt or Grafdigger's Cage
Seal is exactly the opposite, and cage is not targeted. And neither are removal. I like all the other suggestions but some cost too much or are not versatile enough. I could have been more specific I guess.
I do like Graverobber though, could get decent value from him.. What else synergizes with Champion? I looking for etb effects or sac abilities. Like using 4x Fulminator Mage. __________________ Want Drana, Kalastria Bloodchief, and other vampire females oddities (foreign foil crimp miscut misprint sign testprint alters etc)My Saleslist Wants

Youmentioned Nezumi Gravrobber and it made me think of Grave Robbers. Targeted removal .quote: Originally posted by Sovarius: What else synergizes with Champion? I looking for etb effects or sac abilities. Like using 4x Fulminator Mage.

I've always pronounced it as if it was spelled Za-th-rid. When it comes to fictional words there are usually many ways to pronounce them.
