so you want the only two cards that are potentially legacy playable out of the new commander decks and are surprised they are worth something? Interesting...

People who try Pack to Power here should be banned.

Or you could use SCG pricing and always trade up. After a while, they might figure it out, and if they don't, it's like an ATM for you.

We should only allow power to pack since nobody has done it.

I could see SnT getting the axe bc of the power level rise in targets it can abuse over the past few years....it's also why I don't think you'll likely see Survival off any banned lists anytime soon.
I don't disagree at all (rare as that is with you!). The reasons for banning Survival are all reasons to ban SnT. But, if SnT doesn't warrant banning for whatever reason, symmetry indicates that we should have Survival back. Since WotC is unlikely to allow Survival back, they should axe SnT. Frankly, I had more fun playing against Survival that I do against SnT. With graveyard hate, I could conceivably delay long enough to race.

Where do people get the big toploaders from? (i.e those wider ones which easily fit more than 4 cards)

I've actually thought about doing it. Be interesting to see what I could get.

One supplier is: http://www.bcwsupplies.com/products/toploaders/ You would want the ones with the larger Pt. sizes.

Went to Toys R Us on my way back from work, they have Theros fatpacks at 35$. Bought one just for the fun of trying to get a Thoughtseize (30$ at the LGS). Here's what I got:1x Thoughtseize (YEAH!) 1x Ashiok, Nightmare Weaver 2x Nykthos, Shrine to Nyx 1x Heliod, God of the Sun 1x Nylea, God of the Hunt 1x Prognostic Sphinx 1x Soldier of the Pantheon 1x Temple of Abandon 2x Magma Jet Good thing I got that fatpack instead of buying a 30$ Thoughtseize

I did not expect the WW Card to be selling $12-15, considering there is one deck i think it could fit into. __________________ Member Since 03/28/2001 12000+ posts 1st in posts in Ontario and Canada 8th in posts on MOTL 5th in Refs in Ontario Pushing to get to top 100 in MOTL Refs

The price might drop, things tend to be most expensive right at release - probably due to collectors trying to get all the new cards. The same thing happens with every planeswalker.

Pre-sales on faceto face are higher for the white card and lower for the toxic deluge. Made me chuckle that they were the opposite on ebay. __________________ Member Since 03/28/2001 12000+ posts 1st in posts in Ontario and Canada 8th in posts on MOTL 5th in Refs in Ontario Pushing to get to top 100 in MOTL Refs

The wider top loaders will be available at any sports card store if you have one close to where you live. I get mine from the sports card store. Fortunately it is in the same store I play cards at.

Are there people who actually need top loaders?I have a drawerful because i don't do much trading anymore and i'd like to get rid of them if possible. What's the cost if you had to buy them usually? __________________ Member Since 03/28/2001 12000+ posts 1st in posts in Ontario and Canada 8th in posts on MOTL 5th in Refs in Ontario Pushing to get to top 100 in MOTL Refs

I wonder if they would ever print a Circle of Protection: Colorless..? Weedian: Make a trade with me and I'll give you extras for some toploaders. Those things are hard to come by here. I only have those I get out of trades. __________________ I'm a geek, you're a geek. Let's trade.Lord Flasheart: Enter the man who has no underwear. Ask me why. Where are you getting them for that cheap? It costs at least 10 cents for me. Even buying them in bulk, it still costs 5 cents ($50 for 1000).

I don't want to be too much of a downer but "pack to power" is dumb. I get it. The idea of taking a pack and turning it into a piece of power is alluring. However, if you read any articles from people who have done it, they just have to treat trading cards like you're doing business.
By all means trade for whatever you want to, but don't expect a pat on the back for trading with this mindset.

They're not so much treating trading cards like doing business as much as convincing people to rip themselves off to be part of something. It's not much different than going up to people and asking if you can punch them in the face to set a record for most people punched in the face. The victims get nothing but screwed, but do it anyway, and inexplicably tend to be happy to be taken advantage of. __________________ There's no need to fear, UNDERDOG is here! All your Gruul Nodorogs are belong to me.
