Sure they are good in the regular season. They are functioning way better than my favorite team, the Lakers. Don't know if they are as good as the Grizz though. You are right about 'Sheed. I would take Rasheed in his prime over 'Melo any day. Kurt Thomas is also OG. I can also respect Camby, who helped take NYK to the finals. Can 'Melo do that? I really don't like the Knicks. It's mainly because of: #1. Amare #2. Carmelo No NBA fan should have to watch his team pay max money for their levels of production, "max players" who are anything but.... You can watch Carmelo (NBA's most improved player) or you can watch LBJ (NBA's legit MVP) and actual greatness unfold. FWIW, you could say all the bad things you want about the Grizz and Lakers. I'm sure they would be warranted as well. My favorite teams are far from perfect (esp. the Lakers who are basically pos this year).

Less than half way through the season and I'm already tired of hearing "Missed the first, made the second" whenever the Nugs are at the line. Is it really that hard to make free throws?

They're not hard to make, but they are easy to miss.

Gonna bump this a bit.Rose is almost back, Rondo is out, didn't watch the game but the numbers looked better for Rubio last night. It's a weird time to be a PG with a last name starting with R. Noah's out with plantar fasciitis. Its a bummer he'll have to miss the All-Star game. They still almost beat the Pacers last night. Horrible call on that out of bounds. Should have gone to a replay with so little time left in the game. Not saying they would have won but down 4 with the ball is better than down 4 without it and needing the stop to keep from being effectively out of it. Heat look like they're coasting, but come playoff time they should be able to clamp down. The East is shaping up to be the Heat, Knicks, Pacers, Nets and wildcard Bulls. The West seems to be really wide open again. Spurs and Thunder slightly above everyone else but Clippers, Grizzlies, Warriors, and Nuggets could all make some noise.

Denver won't do anything unless they get one of the top 4 seeds. They're, at best, a below average road team.

Clips should probably try to get KG if they can.

KG doesn't help Clippers want to they need to do. Here are some of the Clippers' goals: 1. sign CP3 long-term. 2. continue to develop Griffin and Jordan, since they're already invested 3. have enough money to keep Bledsoe

Agree with all that. Caron Butler has trade value and a SF who plays defense and shoots 3's is easier to find than a respectable backup 1/2 guard (Bledsoe).

I'm more inclined towards what Robert Mays said about the KG to Clips trade. Might as well have a go now rather than let CP's knee get more wear and Durant and Westbrook get better.

The Pacers are looking pretty good. The Celtics are in the 7th spot now. Knicks have won 6 out of last 7 ~MM __________________ Blah, blah, blah werewolf. Smackity-smack not a werewolf. Suspicious of this fruit loop. My vote this round will be for Player X.New keeper of the Logout button

I reckon the Bulls could be #1 or #2 in the East if Rose comes back healthy.

Miami is 0-2 against the Knicks and 0-2 against the Pacers. They also lost to a Rondo-less Celtic team and a Rose-less Bull team.~MM __________________ Blah, blah, blah werewolf. But they are the same team as last year, and they beat Pacers and Celtics in playoffs. Celtic last playoffs had Rondo and KG/Pierce were both 1 yr younger. Lebron also completely shut down D Rose and Paul George in the playoffs the last time he played them. Don't put too much stock into regular season match-up(s). Unless you're watching the Lakers, because they are stinking it up on the regular.

Did you see the piece on ESPN about if a 34 yr old. Michael Jordan could take these Lakers to the playoffs instead of Kobe? It was between Skip Bayless and Stephen A. Smith. ~MM __________________ Blah, blah, blah werewolf. Smackity-smack not a werewolf. Suspicious of this fruit loop. My vote this round will be for Player X.New keeper of the Logout button

I don't watch ESPN anymore because I no longer have TV since I moved. Playoffs maybe, but winning it all not really. The NBA is better all around than when Jordan played. Look at how dominant LBJ is and there are still players that will win MVP instead of him. Kobe's detractors will hate him, but he is the closest player to Jordan since Jordan left (style, personality, skill, effect on the NBA). Look now, how Kobe and 34 yr old Jordan are still scoring in bunches but are too slow to guard elite players anymore

90 seconds? My guess is it was closer to 8 minutes.

Sometimes speechjew posts to post. I didn't say I enjoyed or disliked it. I just found it interesting that seeing as the man turns 50 next Sunday, people are still enamored with him. I was more into hearing them talk about Jordan's team of the 90's and comparing them to the cast on these current Lakers. He truly is the greatest of all time. ~MM __________________ Blah, blah, blah werewolf. Smackity-smack not a werewolf. Suspicious of this fruit loop. Oh, I was merely pointing out that nothing involving Skip Bayless and/or Stephen A. Smith could last anything less than 3 minutes. That said, Jordan did have a 25 something PER when he was 34 in '98 which would put him 4th this season behind LeBron, Durant, and Paul. That's pretty impressive. Kobe, as good a season he's having, is still only 14th at 22.88. Tim Duncan on the other hand is 5th at 24.94 at age 36. Caveat being that PER isn't the end all be all of comparative stats, but just some interesting numbers.
