That Lakers/Warriors game was crazy. The officiating was...um...interesting. Curry's 3/4 court heave at the end was so close. And of lastly, that Kobe injury. That's really a rough break for the Lakers. Dominique came back from an Achilles tear if I remember correctly but Kobe's already 34. Rehabbing at 35 to play at 36-40 sounds awful. Though, if anyone could do it, it would be him. My guess is they'll amnesty him this off-season, re-sign Howard and explore trading Pau to fill out the rest of the roster. Not particularly a Lakers fan or hater but this season has been brutal for them. Injuries, coaching changes and controversies, and Dr. Buss passing away. Yeesh.

Man, the Bulls need to really just give up on the season. Rose is done, let Noah heal, let Gibson heal, let Luol heal/get surgery, find a way to dump Hamilton by the draft and focus on next season. This never say die attitude is great to watch, but its excruciatingly painful when players come back too soon and aren't up to par only to re-injure themselves and miss more games.

I'm surprised at that reaction. No team can shoot themselves out of all its problems.

I know, but the Nuggets live in the paint and have are poor at outside shooting. If a team can keep them out of the paint for chunks of the game, they'll win because Denver can't consistently hit jump shots or threes. It wouldn't solve all their problems all of the time, but it would help. As would playing defense.

They're 9th in the league in 3 point % and tied for 7th in 3 points attempted for the season, I don't think that's entirely the issue (though I guess 9th/7th aren't the best numbers, as that equates to just 28.6%) It just looks a lot worse when you're up against the 3rd in the league in attempts and the 1st in the league in % (46& as a team, go dub nation :3)Losing Gallo didn't help, though, and Chandler's been gimpy all season.

Is it bad to feel like it's over for your team when they trail 0-2?Is it bad to feel like it's over for your team before the playoffs actually start? Is it bad to feel like your team had no shot to even get into the playoffs from the start of the season? I really thought it was over for Kobe at the end of last season. You had to be high if you thought Kobe would blow by Josh Smith and put him on a poster before the season started.

Which of these two teams is better? '12-13 OKC Thunder or '06-07 Cle Cav's Which of these two teams is better? '12-13 SA Spurs or '06-07 SA Spurs What's to say Durant can't make it to at least the Finals? LBJ couldn't take down the Spurs by himself. But Durant has a vastly better team around him than those Cavs; and the Spurs are not as good anymore. Durant couldn't have picked a better time to be good in the NBA. He doesn't have to fight against many of the dominant players and teams in the Western Conf. of the last decade (only really have to beat LBJ). He also didn't have to wait 7 seasons before being on a competitive team. Mike Conley didn't have a chance guarding Westbrook so it looks like my other 0-2 team has an even better chance now. To answer your question, the Heat will now beat the Memphis Grizzlies.

Can a coach be fired in the middle of game?Edit: I'm hoping that the George Karl era is over by Friday, and that Kufus(sp?) is gone not long after.

Well, the Red Sox came back from 3-0, let's see if the Celtics can too!I think the team as I know it is done for after this season, so might as well play their asses off now. __________________ *My LJ*Letter Bombs!*FB*Logout- MM is a copycat! (So am I)*CKGB

People get put on posters every week. It's not every Golden State lands a star and goes to the playoffs. Pretty glad to see a team other than LAL and SA contend from the west after 10 yrs.

That baron davis dunk occured during the last Playoffs run in GSW in 2007, which is why it holds such a special memory for me. However, Curry/Thompson is definitely heads over Davis/Jrich in that day. Can't wait to see new memories made! I wish I lived closed CA, the oracle crowd is friggin crazy man.

No talk about Jason Collins yet? I perceive that to be a good thing, like it's a non-issue on MOTL. I hope someone does pick him up for next season. ESPN tells me he's a solid veteran presence in the locker room. I won't lie and say I'd ever heard of him, even though he played for the Celtics earlier in the season. __________________ *My LJ*Letter Bombs!*FB*Logout- MM is a copycat! (So am I)*CKGB

The way I see it, the story really isn't a NBA story. It just happens to involve a NBA player. Someone has to be naive to truly believe that there aren't more people in the closet already on teams across ALL the other leagues. If dude can ball, anything...anything goes. A player can cheat on his wife with a teammate's wife and remain on the team. A player can rape and even murder AND STILL be on a pro-team, so this is nothing. I've expressed my admiration of Kobe's game many times. I think the story has impact for many people. It's a big deal and not a big deal at the same time. It's hard to keep secret for long time. It tough that something so vital to a person's identity "has to be secret." It's sad that Collins has a twin brother who didn't know. It is what it is whether there's posting activity on MOTL about it. You got to remember that the NBA thread is not very active at all. For me what I care about = I hope that by the end of the night, I can post about the Grizz beating up flop city.

If George Karl isn't the most overrated coach in the NBA, then I don't know who is. I can't wait for him to get fired.Good luck to the Warriors in the 2nd round

IMO, I think Denver overachieved in the regular season. Without a true super star, it's pretty hard to win a playoff series. __________________ (╯°□°)╯︵ ┻━┻
