I can't disagree with you, but with the exception of one fluke season, they weren't any better in the playoffs when they had a superstar. Nuggets playoff results under George Karl (*w/ Melo): 05*: L Rd 1 4-1 05/06*: L Rd 1 4-1 06/07*: L Rd 1 4-1 07/08*: L Rd 1 4-0 08/09*: 10-6 overall, L Conf Finals 4-2 09/10*: L Rd 1 4-2 10/11: L Rd 1 4-1 11/12: L Rd 1 4-3 12/13: L Rd 1 4-2 The only common denominator since Jan 05 is George Karl (hired 1/27/05). He's overrated, and it was time for him to go after game 2.

An extremely sloppy 4th quarter, but I'm excited for this Spurs/Warriors matchup. Experience v Youth and some really fun positional matchups.

That's pretty ambitious, calling Carmelo a superstar.

Here we go again, haha How many "good" head coaches are out there on the market? Iron Man 3 or Game 6 (Grizz vs Flop City)?

Every non-competitive in the NBA has the same MO. 1. Fire current coach. 2. Hope to hire Phil Jackson.

I would say this is still a very successful season for Denver, and 57 win is no joke. The team is quite young (except for Andre x 2), so the future definitely looks good. fake edit: I swear Iguodala is an old fart! Didn't know he is under 30.

I'll ride the train as long as it keeps running. That GS-SA game was also pretty great. Curry is on fire from darn near everywhere.

They have a pretty good chance of going into the Finals. Both Spurs & GS are beatable. __________________ (╯°□°)╯︵ ┻━┻"The enemy has been destroyed, sir. So have the forest, the city, your palace, your dog . . ." —Keldon soldier

grizzlies get spanked.Spurs were up 2-0 vs OKC last yrs West Finals before dropping four in a row. Maybe they will wear down and not shot 50% from three-pt again.

You don't win with X's and O's, you win with Jim's and Joe's. The lakers are too old. It should be Kobe, Dwight and a bunch of young roleplaying, high-energy kids. Nash was a mistake. Bigger mistake: Mike D'antoni. Just ask Knick fans I remember when George Karl was coaching the Supersonics with Payton and Kemp. He said if he didn't win a title in 3 years he would leave. Five years later, he left with no titles. Lost all respect for him after that. He can't win in the playoffs. Denver's personnel is awesome. Great, gutsy firing.
