5 games into the season is hardly a gauge on the season being lost or not. It takes time for players to mesh. Look at the Miami Heat the 1st year LeBron and Bosh was there. ~MM __________________ I am MeddlingMage...YOUR Motl Survivor 11 Champion, 2007 Captain N award winner, 2010 Marlboro award winner, and 2011 Champion Tournament Pick'em MOTL NCAA Bracket Challenge winner!CM Punk "OMG Kevin Nash WTF, thought he was dead, LOL" New keeper of the Logout button

Lakers need a proper bench. Wait, why am I saying that as a non-Laker fan? All is well in Lakerland!

Thank you for making my point for me. But what was their record starting out the season? They eventually righted the ship. ~MM __________________ I am MeddlingMage...YOUR Motl Survivor 11 Champion, 2007 Captain N award winner, 2010 Marlboro award winner, and 2011 Champion Tournament Pick'em MOTL NCAA Bracket Challenge winner!CM Punk "OMG Kevin Nash WTF, thought he was dead, LOL" New keeper of the Logout button

AJ price and Greivis Vasquez, thank you 5th string guards for allowing me to be marginally competitive in assists the past 3 weeks.

Grizz get no respect, all they do is win against heat and thunder.

Please, that's just bull. You know it. They get no respect because they're not in a major market and they don't have two lotto pick superstars. Knicks go 6-0 in the regular season for the first time and years, and they go straight to #1 on the power rankings? Most NBA fans don't even know a single Memphis player because their games aren't aired much. You might be one of those fans and it's okay. The Grizz beat the Heat and the Thunder and don't get a mention. They've done plenty in the playoffs the past 2 seasons to show that they're real.

Memphis has, in my opinion, the most well balanced front court in the league.

It's simple. This gets you respect. This doesn't. The ONLY people that give a **** that Memphis beat OKC and Miami in the first month of the regular season are Grizzlies fans.

So the only thing in the NBA you care about is the Miami Heat? lol, you're basically using the played out "rings argument." The Thunder get a whole lot of respect for not winning a finals. And so did the Knicks. Here's the truth, and it's simple. Grizz get no respect b/c they aren't major market (like NYK) and they don't have superstars (like OKC). You can talk all the gibberish you want about my team. But it's not b/c they haven't won the finals. Anyone who watches NBA games and not just the games on TNT knows that the Grizz have earned it. The Grizz are a legit team and any basketball fan would probably want what Memphis has going on. Memphis competes, has players you want to watch, and cheap tickets in relatively new stadium. There really isn't a bad seat in FedEx Forum. Want bad seats in the Garden? Pay up! Look, Grizz beat NYK.

That NYK/Grizz game was a very dirtily (is that a word) played game. Both teams are for real though.~MM __________________ Blah, blah, blah werewolf. Smackity-smack not a werewolf. Suspicious of this fruit loop. My vote this round will be for Player X.New keeper of the Logout button

So you respect only two teams in the NBA? Grizz lost in the 1st round last season (in a good series against LAC), season before that they beat the #1 seed (San Antonio). They did lose in the 1st round a lot when Shane Battier used to play on the team.

Could you imagine how bonker Memphis would look like if they drafted Harden instead of Thabeet? __________________ MOTL Fantasy NBA 2010 ChampionLife is hard; it's harder if you're stupid. John Wayne

The Grizz haven't drafted well. For all the bad that has been the draft, it's pretty amazing how Zach Randolph has done a 180 and Marc Gasol is panning out.

No doubt Z-Bo surpassed my expectation, and Marc Gasol has been great as well, just that I wish Memphis got market value for Pau at that time. As for the drafts, I am just disappointed.

Reggie Evans was instrumental is helping the Clippers squeak past the Grizzlies in last season's playoffs.Oh look, the first player fined for flopping is Reggie Evans. Poor Reggie, it could have been anyone......Chris Paul, Blake Griffin...

Stern fining the Spurs, what a joke? It definitely sucks that fans in Miami didn't get to see Duncan/Parker/Ginobili, but aren't Miami fans paying to see their team just as much as the other team? For what it's worth, Miami only beat the Spurs by 5 pts. If "product" is all Stern cares about, what does he have to say about perennial cellar-dwellers like the Bobcats and Wizards? Did Stern give Chicago fans a refund when they paid crazy money for chance to witness Linsanity last season? In the midst of his crazy run, Lin got injured and missed an away game at Chicago.

While I am fine with Pop's coaching methods, you clearly must see a difference between Lin getting injured (unintentional, we can only hope) and Pop sending home 4 of his core players (intentional)You must also see a difference between the aforementioned Pop situation (intentional) and the Wizards and Cats unintentionally (my hope is that they're actually trying to rebuild their franchises, and at least in the Cats, I can see that; I like Rich Cho) being bad teams. Is stern saying he'll fine the spurs ridiculous? Yes. Their schedule sucked as of late, and Miami has a two game week (to the chagrin of heat fantasy BB player owners everywhere)

I can differentiate between a coaching decision and an injury. But at the end of the day, the disappointment for the fans is the same; and apparently, the fans' perspective is a primary impetus for Stern. The Wizards and Bobcats are not unintentionally bad. I feel sorry for the fans there.
