Seeing as you are pretty much the captain of the Titanic at this point, we genuinely appreciate you doing your duty until the music stops entirely.

Site is nearing 20 years old. I remember checking it out in the summer of 98. Of course there was no fancy front page or reference checker. People used GAB.Who remembers Trademark and SerraAngel and ValMTG and inca911 and jbp26 and cliff and gh0stface and Charles Ensign and squirrel overlord and many others and Leshrac himself was active. Ah the glory days. I wish he'd sell the dang site, still not many great alternatives. __________________ Winner of the first MOTL anniversery contest.

Jeepers, it really is dead around here, but all we need is a good game of Survivor. Is Magic itself still a popular game? Might be time to bust out some Shandalar...

The game is hugely popular but lack of updates to this site (like the search function) have sort of killed this site along with competition from pucatrade and easier access to cards via all the popular retail companies like scg. It wouldn't take much to revive the site but the admins like Dean and Ed not letting anyone else have admin powers is killing the site

I do! Once upon a time... If you want to bathe in nostalgia you can fire up the Wayback Machine and see MOTL from whenever you desire. Easy way to spend a few hours. __________________ Yes, I'm still here.

There are so many, how about SerraBanger, rpitcher, potm, Nightdog to name a few. Speaking of legends, does anybody now if Jaz is alright? __________________ I'm a geek, you're a geek. And here I am Thank you Dave! I'm doing ok. I got a promotion at my job, I'm now the Team Captain for my team (I'm the boss! O.M.G.!) It came with a raise of slightly over a buck an hour, and 8 extra hours a week. It's still not that much, but it's good for now. The best part is I get to boss my hubby around at work, as well as at home! Last year, I finally finished getting my associates degree in Special Education. I still cannot seem to find a job in that field however. But I'm looking! What I'm sure you're REALLY wondering, is about my car situation. It's going much as you would expect from me. In Dec last year, the power steering rack blew (or whatever) on my van, and some other stuff that made it soooo not worth fixing. So, I bought yet another car. This time I got a Honda Pilot. Oh man, I LOVED that thing!! It was such a great ride, the best. Even the hubby loved it. Yes.. I said lovED and WAS. About a month ago, we were in a car accident on the way home from work. A huge box truck slammed rear-ended us. Caved the trunk in, pushed some of the side off the car. Also pushed us into a truck that was pulling a trailer, which attached us to some small metal piece on the back of the trailer. We had to cut the bumper to get free. Also screwed my shoulder up pretty good, I'm in physical therapy for it. The insurance company recently got in touch with our lawyer, saying they want to total the Pilot. So, I'm car hunting, AGAIN. *sigh* Several years ago, I was diagnosed with diabetes. It sucks, but I was managing it with just pills. Recently though, it took a turn for the worse and I now have to take insulin injections once a day. I was a bit scared when I was first told, but it's not nearly as bad as I was imagining. I've started making more changes in my lifestyle, cutting out a lot of the carbs I was eating, cutting down a LOT on the amount of fast food we were eating, I even make my coffee at home now because I can't get my favorite kind anymore. I'm looking for ideas for low-carb, low-sugar cooking if you've got any! My daughter is currently living the dorm life and loving it. She went and bought her own car last year, right before she moved into the dorms. We hardly ever seen her, which sucks. I miss her alot!! This Sunday she turns 21!!!! She also got her associates and is planning on becoming a high school math teacher. She recently went with her boyfriend's family on a cruise through the Baltic Sea! She said she had a great time and she brought me back a nesting doll from Russia, it's sooo cute! My son is still in college as well, but living at home. He also got his associates degree and even managed to make the Dean's List last quarter! I'll be paying the loan I had to take out to send him there for the rest of my life, but it was worth it! He is continuing on to his bachelors degree and should have it in a little over a year. Back in 2012, I started volunteering for the RI Comic Con, a year later my son joined me and we've been going strong ever since! I was recently made the Volunteer Lead for the information booths, so I'm in charge of making sure they run smoothly and have all the information we'll need to help people! It's been a blast and I am soooooo glad that I started it. I've gotten to meet so many awesome celebrities and gotten some great autographs and photos! If I can swing it this year, I'm getting a photo with Jonathan Frakes and Levar Burton which will get me sooo close to having photo's with the entire bridge crew! So far, I've got myself with Gates McFadden, Michael Dorn and Marina Sirtis and myself with Brent Spiner. After these next two all I'll need is Will Wheaton and Patrick Stewart! Although I doubt I'll ever get one with Patrick, Will is a good possibility! Well, that's the update on Jaz! Anything else you wanna know?
I love you and miss all of you very, very much! My MOTL family is never far from my thoughts. <3 Thanks, Jazaray __________________ A Plastered Dragon Original Limerick: There was a nice lassie named Jaz Many wished to have what she has, A delicate face, A soft warm embrace, And a whole lot of bedroom pizzazz.WeedIan: Jazaray is like MOTL's Mom. Glad to 'see' you Jaz! (thanks Dave)You and cars, it just wasn't meant to be I suppose. Ever tried a motorcycle? It's good to read that you and your family are doing great and your kids are growing up well. Nice to see that your job, and your volunteering, agrees with you (finally ) Wishing you the best! __________________ I'm a geek, you're a geek. I tried using the site when I got back into Magic & trading, but there were only a handful of active people. And I needed mass trades to catch up since I had missed out on a few blocks. I ended up joining multiple fb groups and was doing 5-7 trades a week. It seemed to be faster than negotiating a deal via MOTL. I miss the site though. I have a good reputation here & basically had to start all over

I'm so glad to hear that things are going pretty well for you, Jaz (small blips aside!). That's fantastic news! My only news item at this point is that I've completed my cross-country move to take up a postdoc, and I'm now camping in a giant and empty new apartment, waiting for my shipping container of stuff to arrive. The weather's great, the mountains are huge, and all's well.

Good to hear you're doing well, Jaz. It seems like your kids are doing well, too - can't believe they're in college!

I remember so many of those names mentioned.Just came across another former MOTL user, KIP_NZ, who remembered my username from here. Sad to see the current state of the site, but glad you're all still doing well. I've still been using the ref system all these years, but haven't really checked the forum much. I guess I just wanted to say "hi" for those who are still around.
