Sounds like he screwed up good and hid behind the letter of the MOTL law. Reverse rippers on this site do the same thing. "OMG I NEVER RECEIVED SEND MORE STUFF"

Pretty sure after that case Hooksdaddy probably did very little business here, the ruling was awful.

That was an interesting read. I was wondering why MOTL died a few years ago. Even GD regulars(which is basically all I was after a while) stopped posting. My 2 cents is that one major problem with MOTL is the ref system. It's outdated for sure. Like, you choose to send a reference checker after a deal goes well and you know it. And you can't send one to confirm the deal because they expire after 10 days. That's nuts! Anyways, I deal in video games now anyways. I know I've said it before here, but the system at NintendoAge is the best one I've ever seen for a free to use message board. Like "at your own risk" is in their rules. MOTL had a sense of security about it until I guess it didn't anymore. Crazy they were trying to act like trading on here is safe. I should note that buying and selling on NA is far more connon than trading. Games are expensive to ship in comparrison to fancy pieces of cardboard. My average package was probably 2 pounds on that site. How many magic cards would that be?

This actually happened before I was modded, but there was lengthy discussion in the mod forum about this case, and not all mods were on board with this. I know you think we are a bunch of potatoes, but some of the mods actually cared and hated the ruling as much as most members did. __________________ (╯°□°)╯︵ ┻━┻"The enemy has been destroyed, sir. Seems like everyone here did very little business. Would you believe that I actually thought the site died with MTGs decline?

Unpopular opinion:Online card trading is slow, inefficient, and unsecured. The bad ruling plays a very small part in MOTL's decline. I expect Dave to storm in and tell me I am wrong. __________________ (╯°□°)╯︵ ┻━┻"The enemy has been destroyed, sir. So have the forest, the city, your palace, your dog . . ." —Keldon soldier

You aren't wrong there. I can make 30 ebay cash flips before I make one online trade. Only one successful craigslist sale. Some people with specific stuff I look for refuse to sell their stuff. Like they are morally against it, so I need to trade. So weird how cash does not talk to some people.

I don't have to storm in to tell you that you're wrong. I'm sure you're used to being wrong by now. If not, at least I get to live rent free in your head.

True, but some people here didn't trade for the speed of it, but just for fun and meeting great new people (like Dave, who called me a dick the first time we 'met' -and was right (I was young and greedy )- before we clicked and send me a photo of his dog (how is the dog anyway Dave?) and Dan 'The Stone Rain Man' Barnard whose address I still know by head and whom I even sent 1 Stone Rain too across the Atlantic). The dramatic increase in postage is what killed online trading for me. That, and that I don't collect anymore but sometimes need a specific card. It's what basically made me switch from the Trading Department to the Magic and GD Forums. I was basically trading for the fun of it. And the refs. I'm still the No.1 ref holder from Holland and I own the largest amount of AEther Storms in the world thanks to MOTL. (probability guess). __________________ I'm a geek, you're a geek. Isn’t that true? I have been here long enough to know that Dave is always right and everyone else is always wrong. All hail King Dave. __________________ (╯°□°)╯︵ ┻━┻"The enemy has been destroyed, sir. So have the forest, the city, your palace, your dog . . ." —Keldon soldier

he gets me! Actually, you are one of the best on the site. I am very happy that we continued to talk. Dory is amazing as usual, doing her thing to make unhappy dogs happy! She is the therapy dog for the dogs at the rescue I got her from. She continues to teach us daily about dog behavior. I hope to return to Holland someday soon and knocking back a few with ya! Long live MOTL! term limits for MODS!! **oops forgot one ALL HAIL KING DAVE!

I was trying to find out the current status of Pucatrade, and looks like things are not looking too good over there, lol.https://www.reddit.com/r/PucaTrade/comments/7jmzga/congrats_pucatrade_for_the_success_of_pucadues/ edit: and yes, All Hail King Dave! __________________ (╯°□°)╯︵ ┻━┻"The enemy has been destroyed, sir. Two guys I know finished their Legacy decks while the going was still decent. Then they completely jumped ship. That was years ago. Based on the stuff they both told me, I don't understand how that site still exists. Seriously asking here. What value do they provide to users?

giving away free puca points devalues them. They've monetized the site to address this but they still give points away. The pucadues have ended for free memberships. Still not gonna do it.

I am coming over for dinner tonight. Anyway, I was re-reading this old thread about Puca Trade. It's funny how a lot of things the site owner said wouldn't happen has happened. __________________ (╯°□°)╯︵ ┻━┻"The enemy has been destroyed, sir. I don't get it. When I called it a Ponzi scheme on another thread, you seemed to throw some shade my way. Yet you were apparently called it out the same as I did. I just never knew about that thread.

Pucatrade sounded dumb. People must have been desperate for a MOTL alternative when MOTL started to decline.

Honestly, I don't recall ever saying something like that, but if I did, point me to it and I will gladly apologize. edit: I've found the thread, and I think you have mistaken me for someone else. quote: Originally posted by puregoblinboy47: Pucatrade sounded dumb. From what I could gather on Reddit, sounds like majority of the original team have cashed out/quit. They were also paying people with Puca Points for service/work done, which is extremely questionable. __________________ (╯°□°)╯︵ ┻━┻"The enemy has been destroyed, sir. My bad. It clearly wasn't you, but that's not the thread where I remember it happening either.
