Apparently I still don't have enough events to get a foil DOJ in this rewards mailing. I used to get enough for one at least every other period. Apparently, I've been skipping alot more events than I originally thought.__________________ Wisconsin - smells like dairy air!

Yeah, join the club. I'm currently at 19 foil points. At least I should be in good shape to get 2 foils next time, since we now have about 8 events per month in addition to pre/releases and gamedays. __________________ There's no need to fear, UNDERDOG is here! All your Gruul Nodorogs are belong to me. and if you do get enough points you'll be lucky to get it in one piece. I got my DoJ today and they didn't even use a penny sleeve this time or anything. Just loose in the envelope. Lucky it came okay I guess.

How much are these new day of judgements worth, since everyone is on the subject?

I had 34 Current Foil Points and wasn't shipped one. I wasn't docked for one, either, so I guess it's OK.

I'm ****ed because I get zero credit from WotC for judging events. I guess I should play in all of them too, regardless of whether that makes an odd number of players or not.__________________ *MafiaBass*Joshweek*Letter Bombs!*Prices*Gatherer*Logout <Tranderas> damn

I'm pretty sure that MPR sendings are counted from the tournaments attended in the previous 2 sendings. My 4th (M11) sending of Lightning Bolt was about the amount I would have gotten prior to May (RoE). __________________ <Jazaray> LIQ! <Jazaray> you broke MOTL <Liq> totally <BoltBait> Don't make me kick you <Slinga> Have no fear, MOTL's janitor is here! <nderdog> So we're all agreed, it's Liq's fault, right? <Leshrac> let me deal with that * Liq has been banned

<3 my EDH nights. My new Vorosh deck is super fun and probably way too overpowered. Managed to drop a turn 3 Primeval Titan in one game. Next game I toothed out titan and ob-nixlis Uril is strictly for 1v1 after tonight. He drew just a little too much hate without even really doing anything. __________________ Wisconsin - smells like dairy air!

Uril is on my shortlist of KoS (Kill on Sight) generals. Zur and Erayo are the others. Uril is too dangerous with his troll shroud and Zuro/Erayo are just no fun at all to play against.

I can kind of see that reasoning. The troll shroud makes him rough to deal with, unless people have sweepers. He's typically been pretty tame in my meta though since a lot of people run sac/gravepact-engine decks. EDIT @thror: Uril is a very recent build for me, and is far from my most broken deck. It's not like I have Aggravated Assault + Bear Umbra or anything. Most of the pact decks have been in the meta since the beginning. __________________ Wisconsin - smells like dairy air!

meh, it just depends on the player. When I was playing zur I'd throw in things like dance of many and the likes. It doesn't have to be completely broken all the time.

Delta is like 35-40. Strand is 30 max. Others are 25.

i play an elemental edh deck and my horde of notions rarely gets to see more than two or three turns in a row on the board. I guess people just don't like seeing my creatures over and over again.

I've been locked out by Zur too many times now that it's no longer reasonable to give someone playing Zur the benefit of the doubt. I realize that you can build Zur in a fun way, but I have never actually seen anyone play the Zur deck in a fun way. quote: Originally posted by mattw: i play an elemental edh deck and my horde of notions rarely gets to see more than two or three turns in a row on the board. Unless your deck is doing something absurd I don't see why people in your meta would hate you out like that. Horde costs 5 mana and its recursion ability also costs 5, not to mention you need a graveyard. I've played against Horde decks and while they are resilient they are also vulnerable to disruption. Relic of Progenitus, Tormod's Crypt and even Honor the Fallen are possible answers. A buddy of mine runs a Horde deck and I think it's pretty fun to play against. It's not the kind of deck that makes for an unfun playing experience as far as I have seen.

Had a draft night at a buddies house last night. 5 of us did 4 packs each with a 50 card minimum for deck size and i took it down playing blue/red. I couldn't believe it, out of all the packs opened i got one bolt and no cancels. It was sick, my kill card was an augury owl with a Volcanic Embrace on it. Sad.EDIT: Oh yeah, Stab, i should mention that the people i play with have a hate on for anything and everything. I've seen Birds of Paradise get plowed when the player isn't even mana shafted. A lot of removal is played with us, it's crazy. In a 4 player game there is almost a board sweeper going off every turn.

Quite amazing that you managed to stay in just two colours with such a small deck pool and an increased deck size. In fact, I am somewhat skeptical.

He said draft. So instead of the normal 8 people, 3 packs, 40 card deck, they did 5 players, 4 packs, 50 card deck. His total card pool was 60 cards, and he probably played ~20 lands. drafting ~30 playables out of 4 packs isnt unreasonable.

Trust me, the deck was pretty bad. But if anyone could PM with a proper way to do a draft, minus the having eight players (we don't have enough people), and maybe a couple fun variants that would be sweet. My friend wants to do a draft where we draft decks and play everyone at once. I'm kinda skeptical about how that would work.
