So, anyone play vintage? Gush and Frantic Search just got unrestricted again. Anyone want to to take the Over/Under on Gush being re-re-restricted in 6 months? __________________ "He fights you not because you have wronged him, but because you are there."[16:17] <@BrassMan> what do you need new tech for? So the play group has been wanting to run a "less broken" EDH variant and a few decided on a tribal based EDH w/ a requirement of a minimum 35 creatures for your tribe and no creatures that aren't of that tribe.First game I set up general (azami), mind over matter, and beacon of tomorrow. GG Second game it was 5 on 1. Ugh, its the same as playing broken EDH w/ my 5 color good stuff.

Not identifying with any particular viewpoint, this thread was still hilarious! Thanks for linking it Stu. __________________ "He knew suddenly that he was not going to escape. So, you put together a deck that can grant you infinite card draw/turns, kill everyone and then wonder why you get hated out of the next game? I must be missing something here.

in a total of 2 games my azami died once. Shes like a kill on sight general. When I untap then draw 4 extra cards and they do nothing, they deserve to lose. The reason I lost the second game was because the player using balthor used it to bring back creatures but he had next to nothing, the guy playing vampires returned a good 6-8 creatures. If they have to team up like that and I wasn't even doing much at that point, then I feel they built their decks poorly. My decks all have a win condition besides hoping to smash guys into someone or praying my graveyard sticks around to be abused. It just doesn't work that way often enough. My zur deck would search up power artifact, drop it on a monolith, and then had access to stroke, braingeyser, and profane command. My horde deck (aka 5 color good stuff, aka reveillark deck) had various kill conditions. Charnelhoard wurm + timewarp was my favorite, but elspeth + horde of notion got the job done. There were also rite of replication loops with E witness, mnemonic wall, or the likes w/ time warp/capture/temporal manipulation. The deck also has the means to invent other infinite combos on the fly depending whats going on. Sac outlets + lark + body double + e witness, etc. Vorosh was a bit more subtle w/ just stupid card advantage then setting up a living death off of a survival. I'm sure it had other win conditions, but this deck usually was a beater type deck, it lost a bit too often for my likes and sometimes was just boring to play. Also had no general synergies, which was annoying.

Going to sell my pittance of a Magic collection on MOTL in a few weeks. If I have a bunch of jank un/commons - think Masques, Nemesis, Prophecy time - should I just throw them away instead of wasting my time and money shipping them?__________________ "He knew suddenly that he was not going to escape. You shouldn't throw away anything, depending on the amount you can throw em up on craigslist and have someone take em. Obviously shipping thousands of cards isn't worth it, but usually you can find someone locally to take bulk off your hands.

A lot of commons and uncommons from those sets might be worth listing on here - Dark Ritual, Daze, Submerge, etc. __________________ My sig: just another victim of dallaswilliams.

In all of my years of MOTL, this is the first time I have been told that they had to make a profit off of trading with me. Seriously?

That's awesome. There was some guy last week trying to start a pack to power here, and he noted in his rules that he couldn't spend any money outside the pack. Good luck with shipping, pal. __________________ My sig: just another victim of dallaswilliams.
