Try and compare it to THIS. quote: Originally posted by wayne: Is there anything else in ISD Block Constructed apart from tokens and self-mill? It's all I've been running into.
They're clearly the most popular. A few of the others include the RB Vampires deck, the RBg Bloodgift Demon/Olivia/Liliana/Garruk good stuff deck, the Burning Vengeance deck, a mono-R deck, and a couple Human decks. GW for one, and RW with Cloistered Youth and Instigator Gang for another. __________________ PMs don't work in Chrome or Firefox 4.0+, see HERE for work arounds.

Neat, I picked up a foil Eladamri's Call in a trade at worlds. It was a total shot in the dark so I valued it at $10 and felt fairly comfortable at that price. I finally got around to checking and ebay puts it at $20-30 ballpark. Glad I still have some decent instincts. Now to build an EDH deck for it.

Does anyone know if the deck boxes linked below would hold a 100 card triple sleeved deck?http://sales.starcitygames.com/carddisplay.php?product=376314

"Holds 180+ sleeved cards (Magic sized)."How thick are they after the triple sleeving? Have to be close to double before they wouldn't fit.

Right now I fit 2 decks in a 400-ct. box (I think that's the right size at least) with very little room left.

Yeah, the moderation is terrible on mtgs. Thankfully they leave the cube forum alone, and that's the only place I really bother to post there. It seems virtually impossible to make trades there, it's even worse than here for people trying to mise crazy deals.

I rather like that Salvation gives infractions for that, no one gives a crap about how you bought Scars lands at $1.

I thought it was relevant to the discussion, but that perhaps dropping numbers on people(16 of each) wasn't the best idea. At any rate, I didn't take it as a brag post. Also,

With all due respect, but aren't you the one that keeps on going how magic cards aren't something that should be invested in and how you hate all those random jacking up of card prices? That's the impression I got when reading your posts on The Source and here, yet on that MTGS topic you mention how you "invested" in quite a bit of scars duals. Heh

Card aren't investments unless you are smart, put it that way. Don't be that guy who played in 1995 and still thinks Jester's Cap is worth $25.

Its a brag post under their rules because he said I bought 16 at $1 and sold them at X.If you said the time to buy was at $1 and now they are at $8 its not a brag post. Its their rules and it can be annoying but that's the way that site works. __________________ Member Since 03/28/2001 11000+ posts 1st in posts in Ontario 13th in posts on MOTL Top 5 in Refs in Ontario (by people who location posted)

Yep, that's me, and I also cashed out now fwiw. At that time (a year ago), I had the same mentality. It's really not worth it. I made $100 in one year. Whoop-dee-doo. I recently made the switch to the stock market. That's where the money is. Magic is a game, and should be treated as such. Cards are very hard to move if you do not own a store, eBay or physical, or you are a dealer with tons of contacts. Plus, it's a rare from a big set that went from $1 to $10 and he's asking if it's a good time to buy? Seriously. Edit: I re-read your post. What irritates me is people asking "is this card a good investment?". Nobody knows, because you really don't know what's coming in the next sets. Magic cards are not like stocks, in which you can track their growth, and use statistical analysis to try and predict where they are going. It's a crapshoot. Examples? - Grindstone. Nobody saw that coming. I saw the spoiler for Painter's Servant, and immediately bought out all I could find. But how could you predict that? - Sea Drake. That dude, dachmai, manipulated the market, and the price stuck. Again, how could anyone guess? - Transmute Artifact. Decent card. I had a dozen of them, because I thought that it would be good in Legacy. Someone Top8'ed a GP with it, and the price didn't even move. Oops. - Tabernacle. It was $30-$50 for all of it's existence. Then someone made 43Land and Top8ed an SCG open. Instant $200 card. Again, who could have seen it? As for the Scars lands, it was pretty obvious they were good. And undervalued. Likewise, I have dozens of Contagion Engines (Proliferate, then do it *again*? That's awesome!) and Caged Suns, and more Scarecrones than I should. If they are ever worth money, great, good for me, if not, no loss. And that's the difference. I speculate(d?) in cards for fun, not necessarily for profit. I never invested in cards, nor saw them as such. tl;dr I speculate, I don't invest. Two very different things. __________________ #2 in posts from British Columbia!Got any Portuguese Foils?
