For whatever it's worth, the technical term for this is an interrupted cut. When turning metal, hex stock will sing you a song, square stock wears your tools out, and rectangular stock breaks them. I can only imagine what that giant hole would do. They make high impact strength carbide inserts for large interrupted cuts, but they're pricey. Now back to your regularly scheduled Magic discussion.

well if you have the angel, just make a REALLY good mana base and play Coalition Victory. Seems straight forward enough.

It seems that the "F.A.T." liliana was a normal liliana with some stuff stuck to it on top. What's wrong with that?

its ruining a perfectly good card? Also, they're getting pretty close to not needing an actual card under the stuff on top.

I don't think it was the real card underneath, it never mentioned anything about the real card. It's been removed anyway thankfully.

This is pretty much the same with stuff like full-art alters especially when they replace the original art with something else. The only difference is the amount of effort that you know the artist is putting into it. You may not aethestically like these, but the underlying principle isn't significantly different. I thought that it was a real card underneath, since iirc they explained that the art is foil and the text isn't; i.e., they stick some art onto a real Liliana that covers everything but the name and text box or whatever. But I don't know for sure and can't re-check since it's been taken down.

My opinion isn't much different either. I do have a lower opinion of digital work, but either way I feel it shouldn't be necessary. If someone like myself can run a card through a printer and "alter" it with next to nothing of artistic ability, I can't think too much of it.I do have a few basic lands with local scenery on them that look neat tho... but I sure don't value them or think they are worth anything. I also don't use them, I made them to see if I could. Apparently it wasn't that hard.

Nope. That was in 2005, I think. Portal 1, 2 and 3, plus Starter became legal. Check the price of Imperial Seal now. Sitting down. __________________ #2 in posts from British Columbia! Got any Portuguese Foils? Post on my list or email me at valter.cid@gmail.com !

Yeah, but Grim Tutor is still $160 retail, not $800 retail. __________________ #2 in posts from British Columbia! Got any Portuguese Foils? Post on my list or email me at valter.cid@gmail.com !

They (the playable cards) definitely sell! If you don't know the prices or which exact cards are playable, don't even bother selling or trading. Do some research first. If you get emails or PM's asking you to sell already, it's normally a sign they're out try and get a deal. Happens more often than not when someone posts they were out of the game and don't know what their cards are worth. Use an online retailer like starcitygames.com, enter card names (they even have an auto-fill option). For starter or portal, it's pretty hit or miss. Card is either dirt-cheap or really expensive.

If you have Starter, look for Goblin Settler. Those are going for 40-45. Not bad for a crappy uncommon.

I really hate when people list cards that are "decked". Then they only ask for people to heavily trade down if you want the cards that are listed as decked, and their wants are really minor.
